I used to have one as a kid, but I gave it to my younger cousins because I don't have time to play with it anymore.
It is a fun hobby, but expensive, time consuming, and a lot of times frustrating to fix stuff. I am surprised there are no other rc racers on this forum :O
I have a Nitro RC car. I have the HPI RS4 3 Evo+ Pretty damn fast, almost too fast. Raced in on indoor mud tracks with slicks, I am awesome at drifting.
Wow that is a sweet car I am hoping to get a nitro sometime in the future, my electric just isnt cutting it at 20-25 mph.
I had an electric too. I got sick of batteries breaking. My friend had a really fast one tho, electric def. has more speed off the line. But top end nitro has it covered. I hate breaking stuff also, every time I drive I swear I break a part on my car.
I know what you mean I just got done paying $23 fixing my steering servo and now after driving it yesterday, I need another $9 worth of parts already :O Also I very much dislike the battery packs, You charge them for an hour and they last about 10 minutes tops The new Team Losi Speed-t Does 65+ and is electric, wouldnt mind having one of them http://www.losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0101#speedChartHdr
I dropped the scene. Actually trying to sell my car. It got way to expensive, and where I live, no one really does it, so it gets boring too.
i used to surf my time with rc cars thats really cool but now i dont hav much time for this,i miss my these days.well i m planning to buy a rc car
I also have a real car, Cant race that on the road though and its a lot more expensive to fix stuff on
I have a Redcat Volcano 4WD .18 VX-18 Engine! JUST GOT IT 3 days ago!! WITH correct adjustment goes 60 MPH plus!! TRY that with your electric walmart I love nitro casue it delivers CONSTANT power in 10 MIN and WAIT NO WAITING FOR 10 HOUR CHARGE!!! JUST FILL UP THE TANK(get gas in carb), POP ON THE GLOW STARTER, Pull start in 2-3 pulls and you got yourself 1-2 HP engine thing roars, I dont know WHY anyone wants to go with crappy eletric cars that have no power I just tap the controller and I FLIP the thing it goes so fast its the SAME size 1/10th as most electrics on the market And I got it on ebay for only $200 NEW comes with kit. But I already am into Nitro so I have all the stuff. I also have a nitro jetski that ripps but its sittin out on the table in the garage, needs new servos. Havent broken anything yet but, thing is you just got to be careful with the parts, the thing i'm concered about most is the servos, I need rugged ones.
I dont know if your talking about mine, but my mini t cost me $250... and they go 15 mph stock and with my battery pack I have it up to 25+ mph and they can go up to 80+ mph with a mambo brushless motor
Here, I just made this low quality, crappy video of my mini-t in my bedroom, its really laggy because I used my eyetoy as a webcam sorry http://youtube.com/watch?v=3h1BSXiTh7k
i am amazed on how these little machines drift. is there a site which give tutorial of drifting rc cars?
http://www.modelflight.com.au/hpi_racing/hpi_racing_drifting.htm http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3825/is_200302/ai_n9221387 The most important thing is getting a quality RC Car that is MADE for drifting if thats what you want to use it for...
