    I own the house I live in now but I used to pay around $300 a month for rent and my living allowance is around $350 a month together with my family.

    1900 + around 300 for utility. Thanks god i live in an condo so the heat oil bill isn't that high

    My parents own the house so luckily no rent for me. The rent of the house similar to ours would be around $175-$200/month here.

    Used to be £760 / $1500 or so. House prices are hyauge here. Recent research showed that in order to buy a place in central Cambridge you need to be earning like 70k/year.
