$30 Header Contest

    Hello

I am looking for a new header design which will be 800 pixels wide. I do not have any preference regarding the height of the header.

I plan on using the header in my ebay adverts-my id is Tubby-Custard. I will be selling personalised t-shirts and my target market will range from fun t-shirts for kids to slogan style t-shirts for adults.

Within the header i would like it to say Tubby Custard T-shirts in a logo format of some sort, which could also be used separtley from the header for printing on invoices etc. One thought that I have had is that it could incorporate a "splat" like a custard splat. If you do not think this will work then that is fine, I happy to consider any ideas that you may have.

I am also flexible as to what the header contains so long that is relevant to selling t-shirts :)

So, I am looking for a header in psd format and also a separte file which I can use as a logo (also in psd format please).

I will pay $30 via paypal. This contest will end on Sunday night at midnight UK time (GMT). I will post my thoughts on all entries on a regular basis so that you can get a feel for what I say I like and do not like in any designs.

Thanks in advance for any entries.

    Vicky

Yeah, I think that's a great deal. I'm in! I'll just reinstall Windows, and get to it (even now if you wanted).
If you're not sure who you're relying on, then just take a look at my gallery here at: the-devo.deviantart . com/gallery

***Remove the spaces from the link! :)

    (EDIT)

Also there's one thing I'd like to say: I'm not really into contests,
    but not because I don't trust you, but because of past expirience;
the client took all the logos made and never payed.

There are easy ways to avoid this.
first of all you can watermark your work when you show it in the forum,
and second, you can ask for payment before you remove the watermark.
that way you are payed before you sent the files, and don't get riped off.

    Hi Devo

I understand what you are saying re: trust. I only have a low iTrader score but I guess it shows a little history that I have paid in the past with no issues.

But... I have to agree 100% with WillHaynes re: watermarks. I have the greatest respect for the designers around here, I have seen some fantastic work when browsing the forum and wouldn't dream of ripping anybody off. I'm sure the vast majority of buyers are the same, but despite this I would suggest that all work is submitted in a manner that cannot be stolen ie watermarks etc

I have no problem with any 'security' being placed on entries, that is an expected part of this

    Thanks for your interest

What's the style of the T-Shirts? Just asking, so that I could make the logo match the theme of your products.

    Hi

Thanks for the entry Mike S. Sorry though, it's not really what I'm looking for. Ideally I want something that looks more Photoshop'd if you know what I mean :)

Devo - the style of the T-Shirts is humourous, fun slogans. Here's a couple of examples of what the slogans may say:

    - This T-shirt was clean this morning and so was my face
    - Help I'm talking and I can't shut up
    - Doesn't play well with others

Some slogans will be accompanied by images and some will just be text based.

When we move onto adult designs as well they will be something like this:
    http://www.sumosam.co. uk/erol.html?17359x0

In fact if you do a search on Google for funny t-shirts you will see loads of sites who are doing a smilar thing. Maybe this could provide inspiration - no outright copying of ideas though please :)

    Hope this helps a bit

The DEVO text is a watermark.
Also, the diagonal lines are not a must-stay element of the image.
    Hope you like it!
    (EDIT)

I think if the diagonal lines disturb you, it's because they're too dark.
I could just decrease the opacity of the lines, and then they'd be more
pleasing to the eyes. Don't you think?

know it doesn't look too humorous, but I really liked this design.
If you do not accept it, I could try to make other ones too.
Instead of making this one funny, I made it modern, butI don't think its too bad.

    Hi Devo

Thanks a lot for your entry. I appreciate that you have taken the time to create and submit this but as you suspect, we are really looking for something a bit more 'light hearted/funny' to match the name (Tubby Custard) and the kind of t-shirts we will be selling.

You are of course welcome to submit any additional ideas

    Thanks again

Alright, I'll get on it, and make a more colorful and happier header.

What's going on? Your last post was sent last month. Please do something! At least say you don't care about it anymore or something. It's rude to keep people waiting like this!
