i will explain yout. Blogspot, Wordpress and other sites that offer free blog hosting are somehow advantaged to get PR.
Bingo. Its much easier to get a high PR blog on blogspot than to build your own high pR site from scratch. the reason being, is that having the blogspot domain in the URl, helps for sure.
I have a blogspot blog which is PR6. But it has some 20 000 backlinks. Its strong and going places. Its in a niche i like and yeh. Blogspot url does help. But a lot of hard work helps aswell.
Just do your link building.. try to avoid paid links and let the pr update itself. I prefer to worry on web traffic and sales conversion though.
ya google update is now finish but page rank not exporting to tool bar i don't know what,s the fuck wrong with google is google mad.
PR is like a source of income for many. The higher the PR the more people want to rank to you, and if you have a high enough PR, you can charge people for links to your site.
lol just about everything I should think. I thought we were doing well with a PR2 with a one month old blog, so good effort indeed
1. No 2. Depends, google is not your personal pagerank calculator. If you made a mistake, you will be penalized. 3. The update is over Yes, I'm frustrated with the knee jerk reactions from the webmasters who either lost pagerank or didn't get an expected one.
NO!!!.There were small glitches and changes in PR a week or so ago. There tuning up for a big PR change. Which should happen by the end of the first week in February.
..at all the inside information present in this forum about what Google are and aren't doing with PR ..as SEOdaddy said (kinda) in another thread, do you guys have someone on the inside feeding you this info or do you just make it up to sound important? it definitely isnt over, we had changes this morning. as for a big update looming in Feb, that could still be possible as it's all still a bit odd at the moment, but maybe you ought to get down to Ladbrokes and get betting on the dates and results if you're so sure?
I still think something was weird/incomplete about this PageRank update. For example, this page was created back in September and linked to from various places ... still does not show any PageRank in the Toolbar (?)
you're right. does any of you know when the next update will be? it's a concern somehow now that i am given big breaks on paid blogs.
I heard the first 2 weeks of Feb... Not sure about that, could easily change as always. To echo a lot the thoughts of other people here - toolbar PR means nothing. Focus on gradual build up of links and content. Magiclinkman
