I'm desperate

    Hi,

I own www.ad-sensing.com . I find my own site very informative - I have over 100 articles on it, regarding AdSense tips, SEO, traffic etc. All content is unique and written by me.

The problem is that whatever I do, no matter how hard I try, I can't breach 200 unique visits per day. The average is about 150 per day.

I would like to have at least 1000 per day :( I know that's possible with my website.

99% of people who had visited my website have positive comments about it.

What do you suggest me to do?

    Thanks!

What have I done so far:

    - Submitted to about 1000 directories
    - Posted links in sigs on forums
    - Commented on blogs, etc
    - Done social bookmarking (delicious, digg, reddit, furl, slashdot ...)
    - Done SEO
    - Even put 50$ in AdWords (though a long time ago).

This site was started in October 2007.

Maybe try advertising on webmaster websites and maybe running a contest and get a lot of press about it e.g. on blogs, forums etc.

That might help a bit with traffic :)

Its a great looking site. I like your logo being a photshop filter one click, I never seen anybody utilize that like that. The problem is your getting uniques once, but I doubt they are bookmarking and coming back later. There really isnt anything to learn about on the site. Make it more personal, with some experiences that people can relate to. If you can do that, you will see better results.

Yeah, I have had a contest. The user with most posts in December 2007 has his ads placed sitewide and forumwide. The contest is over, and the winner has been announced. Now his adsense is running on the site ;)

    Get fundammental.

Take a visitors point of view and ask yourself "Why visit this site rather than the thousand other Adsense tips site?"

Your site has nothing unique or innovative.

Yea dude, No offense BUT the content there is not exactly "spot on" or any thing special

Seems like you are writing what the other 80000 other "make money online" monkeys are all chasing .

    Make some good posts!

Just the other day I started a Blog and made some posts and had 28 subscribers in 18 hours and the blog was brand new...

Why , My content rocked and people loved it,

How my IS blog doing now?

Its done, I really didnt want to become another "hey make money with this " dude, and the experiment is now over,

If you are SMART, you will listen to my advice and make your stuff rock,

Or you can just get offended and have the same results !

Either way, My post was for "educational" value , NOT to bash, knock, flame, attack or destroy you.

I just like to be open with what I see

    Oh and ONE more thing

    TOO MANY ADS MAN!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest submit your site to quality directories instead of thousands.

Sig on forums help on link building but do not guaranteed traffic. Anyway, if you created an attractive topic, visitors or members may click on your sig and you get the credits. :)

    Good for level of awareness.

Short term and usually traffic will drop unless...

http://validator.w3.org/. Your blog have 115 Errors. This is the first thing that you have to fix. No offence taken please. :)

Adwords is good to get the ball rolling or level of awareness.

    Hope this help.

Thank you everyone. I will try to do my best.

My biggest problem is that I would like to make/start a website, but I don't know what to write about! Whatever crosses my mind, I google it, and find a site on that topic that's much better than I could make. :(

I write articles and submit them to Ezine Articles. I currently get about 100 visitors a day to my web site. This number increases by the amount of articles that I write. In the next 6 months my goal is to get this to 1000 visitors a day. Make sure you also capture your visitor's email so that you get repeat traffic when you email.

Well you failing some basic usability and design tests, and if you check your code at W3C you have over 100 errors.

I'm doing a promo right now for all of January on my site http://www.bestwebimage.com. $10 will get you a Usability and Design Analysis for your eyes only, and a free 100-500 word write up on the site.

    My 2 cents:

I'm not sure if a site about Adsense will earn anything, even if you get 1000 uniques a day. Cos your traffic will be webmasters....and if you don't know, webmasters don't click ads or buy any stuff.

That's why all the make money online blogs hardly make any money.

200 uniques are pretty good for a 3 month's old site. You should try adding contents regularly and be patient. Work on gaining loyal visitors, traffic will storm automatically.

Your site is pretty new, you need at least to give it a year, you probably are not even out of the Google sandbox yet. Meanwhile you can start working on other projects, in order to diversify your (future) income...

What the hell was that idea to have ads running on your site that belong to a "contest winner"??

Don't worry just yet. It will take a while to "rise in the ranks".

The most productive thing to do with your time would be to start another site and wait for the fruits of yor labour on this one.
