SEO functionality in Joomla

    Does anyone here use joomla content management system?
    I know that joomla has SEO functionality so using this SEO feature within Joomla, does it determine a high ranking within the major search engines?

    The reason i am asking this is because joomla is like an automated system so how effective would the SEO feature be compared to doing it manually?

    Usually i have heard that it takes months to get a high page ranking using SEO.

    Could anyone advise?

    My friend uses Joomla and he says sites get indexed with google almost instantaneously so it must be very seo friendly:D.

    Joomla suc*s without SEO add-ons :) but if you add them it's quite good. Anyway I would suggest you to wait for Joomla 1.5 Stable Release :) I think that it's going to be great

    Joomla's to complicated for small sites. If you just want to make a blog or something smaller, wordpress is the way to go.
