Yeah, like in Saw 3 when the womans' rib cage got torn in half I was crying from laughter. Im just a sick person you could say? I live old fashioned horror movies. The new ones are good too. I just wish they would make a good horror movie that could actually scare me. To be honest I havnt seen one that has gotten me scared since I was a little lad. I can always predict what happens next.
LOL, yeh i can see why people like them. But there just not for me. Im not into seeing to much blood. I like getting scared when an innocent person is being chased by a much more powerful killer e.g halloween. But the blood i can go without.
oh hell yeah! just make me freakin laugh... but tell me when you were a kid when you watched those movies.. i bet you wer scared as hell
LOL some of those photos are pretty much sick. I nearly vomited when i saw an injured motor cycler on that page. I guess everyone likes different things.
LOL, nah not for me. I saw "Vacancy", thats my type of movie. Scary but not much blood or other ugly scenes. To me thats a good typical horror movie which we probably need a lot more of.
it seems horror movie directors are running very short of innovative ideas to scare people..they must become imaginative and utilise all kinds of resources and talent....
Totally agree. I think there is definetely a large market of supporters for horror movies. But the directors are going totally off course. I though Saw's, latest Halloween and numerous other horror movies in the last few years have been crap.
Are you for real? See one movie in this list and then we'll talk: http://blogs.ign.com/Horror_Brain/2006/06/29/23243/
I think there are two types of horror: "gore" type horror where you just KNOW what is about to get sliced off, and you don't want to see it, and "scary" horror, where most of the "horror" is BEFORE anything ever happens. The 'after' is left for each viewer, which often is much scarier because our own imaginations can really get carried away. Now, some movies are in between absolute gore and no gore at all. The best ones to me, that are the most scary, only use the gore when it is absolutely necessary to the story.
Exactly. Well put. I would rather scary over gore any day. Gore is weird, disturbing and disgusting. I don't know why people like it so much.
Yeh but how can you like it, unless your messed up? Like veins being slashed and things like that, just gets to me. I feel sick. Do you feel a rush from it or something?
Yepp, to be a true gore lover you have to sick in the head, but thats good for your heart. TBH, It's nothing more or less than any other movie.. When I watch any gore movie, like Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood or Hostel, I know that blood showing on the screen is not really blood, guts are not really guts, the eye popping out of the socket is not really an eye, people being slashed are not really being slashed, the guy who just chopped the head of his victim did not really chop the head of his victim. So for me it's just fun. Just like watching Arnie killing 1000 guys non-stop in 'Commando' or a Psychotic killer killing people in 'I know what you did last summer' and 'Basic Instinct' or a freak Ghost killing it's victims in 'The Ring' and 'The Grudge'. It just gives few little more details of what happens when you kill or torture a living person. On the other hand when I see people crying in a drama movie, I find it weird because, 'Hey!! Get over it, it's just a fucking movie.. Nothing is real'. And this is the reason I never watched 'Men behind the sun' or 'cannibal holocaust' because they actually slashed few animals in those movie. As long as it's all fake, I'm cool with it. And honestly I love gore/slasher movies like Hostel, Cabin fever, The hills have eyes but on the other hand Movies like Black Christmas, House of 1000 corpse etc are just comedy... nothing disgusting or scary there... Talking of the slasher movies, has anyone seen 'Grindhouse' ?
Ok i think most of the movies going too far. I went to watch HITMAN in the theater with my friends! there were lots of nudity. I also saw some children to watch it!
