Why do a lot of people try to scam on ebay? Its only when I try to sell computers, that people place bids, and don't pay me. Then they try and scam me to get the item for free. Why do people do that?

    how do they scam you?
i dont see its possible since you can provide proof of nonpayment by
    1. paypal
    2. ebay autocheck status
    3. your own account

    I don't think he's rare.

I tried selling domains and a few computer items on ebay in the past.. everytime it was a scammer.

I would put something in my description saying that I will only ship to the US and not to bid unless you're in the area.

everytime it'd be some foreign guy telling me that he bought it for his sons/brothers/somebodys birthday.. and to go ahead and send it asap to some other country and he'd pay for the shipping cost. but he wanted me to send it before he paid.

Those are method of phishing but pretty much, just a way to try to scam someone for free items. I get bidders like that occasionally when selling popular cellphones. Of course, if you were to ship the item before they "pay", they're not intending to pay so it's a loss for you, win for them.
