I need to create a 3D rotation animation. What's the easing way to approach? I'm looking into animated gif, JavaScript and Flash. For variety of reasons, it would be great if I can do this using animated gif or JavaScript.

    I found the following tutorial:

    http://www.tutorialsite.org/tutorial.php?tut=3D Text Rotation

Pretty cool stuff, but I just want to rotate an image around y-axis. I don't want to display that on a sphere, corn or anything like that.

Thanks for your help in advance.

What type of object are you looking to rotate?

I have a certain company's logo. I want to rotate that around y-axis. I can also say that it's spinning around y-axis.

I can just rotate the flat logo or I can give it 'some width.'

If you just want to rotate text around an axis in a 3D animated gif, you can use Xara3D. You can see an example of this in the headers at either of the links in my signature.

For a more complex logo, you could convert it into a vector image using Xara Xtreme from the same vendor, then import it into Xara3D and make it spin.
