Paul supporters 'freak out' town clerk

This is pretty sad, but symptomatic of many reports I've seen regarding Ron Paul supporters. Really feel bad for this kind lady, to have to put up with such vile and contempt.

I'm happy to provide more responses. I'll be providing them on a one-for-one basis. Just let me know when you would like to see some more.

    Quoted for truth.

I don't understand how people can't see this... Maybe they just haven't really thought about it? I don't know what it is, but that whole "blame America" thing is such obvious propaganda. It's not "blaming America" to think about our role in the world and how it effects, motivates other people/countries. It's basic logical/rational thinking.

Do people think that the CIA is "blaming America" when they talk about blowback?

4th looks to be in the bag. Of course last time the exit polls showed Paul solidly in 4th he mysteriously ended up behind Giuliani. But this time it looks like a safe bet. Thus far he's almost doubling Thompson and he is more than doubling Giuliani. Moral victory!

Long shots face backlash at home
    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0108/7917.html

Pretty weird article. Paul facing a challenge, but he's polling at 70%, and his biggest competitor has raised $12,000 to campaign with. Kucinich on the other hand looks like he has a real fight on his hands.

Thompson has three times as many delegates as Ron Paul.

Republican Delegates (1,191 needed to win nomination)
    Rudy Giuliani: 1
    Mike Huckabee: 21
    Duncan Hunter: 1
    John McCain: 19
    Ron Paul: 2
    Mitt Romney: 42
    Fred Thompson: 6
    Total 92

I've never considered the term "libertarian" to be a smear.

Ron is one of those people I call a "short term libertarian." He believes in liberty for himself and his kin, but he doesn't have the sense to realize that allowing others to be oppressed will eventually result in oppression for his progeny.

In other words, he can think only in terms of short-term consequences, not in terms of long-term consequences. It's like a chess player who can only see one move ahead.

With all of the Paulina's trying to convince Democrats (and worse!) to register as Republicans just to vote in this primary, Ron Paul's campaign doesn't have a moral leg to stand on in terms of complaining that people don't see them as real Republicans. Those cross-over voters won't support the Republican party in the general election, because they aren't real Republicans.

@Will - If I find time tonight, going to start a new thread on right, left, up, down thinking, and the differences. I'm hoping you will participate. We don't agree on everything of course, but I think we are a lot closer than our conversations might indicate.

    Nevada GOP Caucus in Chaos
    http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/018710.html

This one is really sad. The NV GOP can't decide who will be able to vote, or provide the voting locations. Oh, and the Caucus starts in about 11 hours. Apparently they want to say it's Ron Paul's fault for not organizing better when the campaign put in a complaint, when in fact Paul is the candidate who has campaigned the most in state, and the only one currently running ads.

I'm not sure this is how the people of Nevada want to treat a candidate who has invested funds into the local community.

Just thought I would add, those punks at FOX re-aired their last debate from SC, and they excluded the entire section on Ron Paul speaking about his electability.

In related news, Ron Paul supporters have hammered FOX on the market, as it's share price is dipping near it's 52 week low (and they aren't going to stop anytime soon). :D

True Ron Paul cant think in terms of long term consequences. I guess he forgot when we destroyed democracy in iran in the 1950's because of our governments, and our oil companies incredible greed for oil and money.
I guess Ron paul needs to speak about theairy tale history that you believe in, in which you block out the constant meddling in foreign countries for their oil in order for that candidate to please you. I thank god that most Ron Paul supporters know about the history of our meddling in foreign countries, and most of thetimeit was to hurt their chances of achieving freedom and democracy and not helping them to nurture it.
