Couldnt think of a decent title sorry :p

Ok so i would like to create lots of small 1/2 page sites for different niche cats, ie pregnancy, loans etc..

For seo and marketing purposes would it be ok to use one domain with subs or 1 domain with different pages???
    OR buy several domains???

Short on funds at the moment so trying to be cost affective
Even better would be a free way to do it :D

    thanx

Get a domain for each of the sites. Only way to do it.

If you place all of your pages under 1 domain, you may be affected adversely in the serps because your content is not relevant to each other.

From experience and from reading up on different projects. I think especially if you do not have a very large budget that niche sites are better because you go for a big site then of course you are going to have a bigger amount of people to compete with not only to get traffic but in search engines the traffic will almost be impossible to get and you will end up spreading yourself too thin. I would say go with a niche you know about and write some articles here and there and really go and hit search engines hard.

A domain name with a keyword in it is always good...so if I were you I'd host 1 niche site/domain.

Put them on sub-domains (although Google is now not considering sub-domains as separate sites, as it used to be)...

I use about ten(10) domains and place relevant sites as subdomains under these sites. I have a total of about 200.

For example I have as my hubsites (not their real names, but to give you an idea) FinancialZone.com, HomeZone.com, HealthZone.com, GardenZone.com, CareerZone.com, GadgetZone.com...

Under FinancialZone.com I have sites for Credit Cards, Student Loans, Penny Stocks, Mortgages, etc., all as subdomains. They are relevant to the hub and are interlinked with one another.

The sites continue to grow with new content as I add it for the keywords I target. I have no problem getting them listed and pulling traffic.

If you keep your sites on message, giving good content for your keywords you'll not have any trouble from the search engines.

Yes using Blogger is fine. Just do not repeat my mistake. Buy a domain name. Blogger allows you to host site at Google and use your own domain name.

In the future if you decide to go with wordpress or anything else, you will keep your links.
