If you have a site that deals with that stuff and want to promote in your sig that's fine. You can't have stuff like "PM me for VCCs" or link to any VCC/money exchange thread on DP that's been closed.
OK so now some relaxing NEWS for VCC Sellers .they can advertise their VCC selling website here on DP other members will see their website name and PM them asking for their YAHOO/MSN IM SIMPLE ......no problem to DP Great Cheers VCC sellers MODS: if it is ok to make signature like this " Selling for almost a year www.virtualcc.biz Digitalpoint ROCKS!!" then why just Banning only threads and post regarding VCC. all these solve same purpose
Is that not just going to cause the same hassles? People will just now be crying "member x has a link in his sig that I got scammed on" Personally I dont care either way on the ban as its not a service I'd use, but I would think if you are going to ban it then it would be best to ban it altogether, including linking to sites that sell them.
Aye calm down all of you, rob is only doing this because there must be a totally valid reason behind it, instead of asking for the reason we are all blaming him. Many vcc trades were illegeal and also many people were cheated. Same was the case for adwords, because people sold $0 vouchers for like $40. We all dont realise these things until we are cheated. We shudnt jump to such conclusions, moreover managing such a massive forum isnt easy. I think this step was taken for the sake of the members and not against them. We can't possibly police what people do on their own sites and there's no way we're going to start trying to check every link in every signature. You want to volunteer to check every page of every site that's linked to from every signature? I didn't think so
Just a thought, but how much do we pay for membership here???? The owners and agents of DP can really do whatever they want. If you don't like the rules you just leave. NO reason to be upset you never paid a dime to be a member here. How about cleaning up the Money Exchange threads too. I am sure their are a couple of honest folks but a lot of them smell like scams and money laundering do me. I personally come here to read up on SEO and marketing type stuff and rarely make any purchases (I use RAC - more money, but a heck of a lot safer).
probably if you ban all those threads , get ready for a new a big webmaster forum like dp , because its a main reason for so many dpers
