$80 Logo for new guide

There are some contests that are offering $25 or $40 for the same type of work, and have had tons of submissions. I’m offering $80 and have only had a handful of submissions so far. Why’s that? If I don’t receive any submissions within 48 hours I’ll be choosing my favourite and closing the contest.

 

Most will skim over Coolwanz's last post and then simply go back to the main contests thread

 

Which makes me feel very put out. Then again, this is probably his job, which explains why he only enters the contests offering 75 dollars or more.

 

He doesn't he enters anything for 25 and over pretty much, it is his job - not contests but design in general.

 

Dean, I've been showing the design to some friends and I was wondering if you could make a change to the font on the design submitted, i.e make it a little more bold, so it stands out.

I was also wondering if you could change the stars for small music notes.

This is an open contest, don't assume anyone is in the lead. Submissions welcome, but if you don't think your up to the job, then fair enough!

 

I'll be sure to complete the changes by today, expect the modification soon.

By the way, has ListedHosting entered?

Thanks for making the changes Dean. I was wondering what it would look like with different colour music notes, maybe black?

I was wondering what the font would like 'Trebuchet MS' like the font for the rest of the site.

I don't like the image, and the font is boring and lifeless.

It looks a little large for the design, this logo will sit on the site, the text needs to be at the side of the image. The image looks like a skyscrapper, which the city doesn't have.

 

Will try and change the font to Trebuchet MS, and the color of the music notes. Thanks for the feedback!

Ok, I'm going to choose Dean as the winner of this contest.

Thanks for the excellent submissions. I loved coolwanz, but when I showed it to people they didn't think the style matched the style of the theme.

Dean, before I send payment [please PM me your Paypal details] could you only put 4 or 5 music notes, and make them really dark orange or red. Change the tagline to 'the urban travel guide..' PM me your details and I'll pay tonight and give you my email address for the design.
