And this thread has what purpose lol? If I can recall Australia did win the series and they did win 2 out of the 3 matches. Also there are a couple of threads in entertainment forum about this.
Even if Australia wins the last match and win the series, it does not come close to this victory. It has many important aspects This is the second time Australia has been stopped By India in winning 17 consecutive test matches. Last time Australia was defeated in their home was by India After which Australia has won 22 of their 25 matches. More than anything else It's Perth where they have been defeated young set of fast bowlers from India.
At last, India did it. India stopped the Aussies record. One day record of Aussies also stopped by Indians. Jai Hind!!!
Indians have to prove their mettle, specially after that Sydney Test. And they did it convincingly. C O N G T R A T U L A T I O N S to whole team and captain Anil in particular for handling the whole lot very effectively.
C'mon! It was just one match. No need to be excited like that. There's more to go, lets hope that the Indians win it too.
It was not just another match. It's a historical one. We can celebrate it as we celebrated T20 win. One more record broken. This is the first time Hussey has lost a test match. Yes it's true that Australia had never lost a test match when Hussey played.
Indians had paid back the Aussies in their own coin and ended their winning streak by this spectacular win
It's always great to see the underdog win especially against a team like Australia. I think there are cracks in this Australian team as they appear not to play swing bowling that well and they dont have swing bowlers who can do the business. Lee has definitely upped his game and he's getting better and more dangerous. I would like to see the Ozzies have a great swing bowler in their team so they can practice or else they will suffer defeats to swing like the Ashes series a few years ago when the English swing bowlers tore them apart. It would be great to see the Indian batsman up their aggression at the wicket like Johnston showed. I would also like Kumble to create more pressure in the field when new batsmen come in especially at the tail end. Instead of keeping his field out after Symonds dismissal, he should brought his field right in to pressure Johnston and Clark before they got comfortable. Teams should never allow the Australians to get comfortable at the wicket or else they will climb into the score. Fortunately, India's bowlers did the job with superb performances. That's just my 2cents of feedback. PS...wouldn't it be great to see another "Master Blaster" playing Australia ;-)
Congratulations and may the best team wins in the end. More importantly may the sporting spirit prevails in the end for the winners and losers alike.
