I have a dilema

    Hi,

I posted here because I don't know what to do.

Right, I am 14 years old, and my business partner is also 14 years old. He is one of my best friends in real life, yet he doesn't have a PC or an internet connection, so he's not really doing anything at all. Its me who's doing everything to do all the websites, yet he's getting the money rewards from Adsense too.

He wants to be an accountant when he's older, and I just want to be a Webmaster.

What should I do - Continue with him and let him get the rewards or split off from him and do it myself and keep the money myself, but potentially losing my best friend?

Sorry if this post isn't what you expected ;)

Are you currently splitting the earnings 50 50?

It's your choice, decide what you value more.

Maybe you could ask him to do something.. even without a PC.. For example, sites always need new and original content.. maybe he can write some articles and you could put them online.. or maybe he could do some real world advertising locally or something like that. It seems in this case he may be the partner, but he needs guidance.. delegate tasks.. Or, since you are 14 and he wants to be an accountant he can do your math homework or something.. the last one was a joke but a partner is a partner, he could find SOMETHING to do to make it more fair to you. Don't let "business" get in the way of friendship. Work it out, talk about it.

Time to practice tough love dude... have a frank chat with him and tell him whats irking you. Make him understand that its not fair on his part to just reap the benefits of your hard work... since he's your best friend I guess he'll understand. Just my thoughts...

..My friend he is using you. Get rid off him and sign up for adsense account on one of your family members since you still have 4 years a head of you until you can legally use adsense.

If he is "really" your best friend, then "true" friends are far more important than money.

Find a way to help get him in on the act. Make enough money from Adsense to get him online with you. Besides, you may need an accountant one day..:)

Did you put him a partner out of your good heart or did he pay you?

If the lateral, then you have no right to trick him, it will be called stealing. You can ask a buyout, but just splitting is the same as stealing.

If you did it because of your good heart, then talk to him and tell him you want to split.

    Peace,

well i have a rule for you for your future as you are only 14 yrs - never mix money and friends believe me you cant have both at the same time
we are probably no one to tell you what to choose
but i would say always choose relations over money

you're doing all the job. you earn 80% and he earns the rest of 20%. if he wants more he'd better buy a pc and start helping you.

Id have to agree with glasglow. Even if your friend does not have a pc mabye there are some at your school. Im sure he wants to help in some way just can't find a way and get him to do work im sure he wont complain.

I agree friends are more important then money so don't mix the two if you can.
If your his boss when you talk busniess be his boss not his friends may be hard but just explain it and im sure he will understand if not hes not that great of a friend.

    Regards XainFaith.

This should have been thought about before you became business partners...

adding to that, at 14 you have no idea who your real friends really are...

Keep the money, dude! Friends will follow!
That's how the life is ;-)

P.S. Does Google allow 14 years old to own an account by the way? And does DigitalPoint, for that matter? :-D

Ask him to write articles for you. This way he will be contributing.

No you can't join adsense if you're under 18 as to their TOS, and DP doesn't have an age limit.

He is not doing anything but is still getting 50%?
Doesn't make any sense to me.

If he is your best friend and you're doing this only for fun than it's OK I suppose.
