Conservatives have the guns, form the majority of the the military and police, run the farms that feed people, and dominate the churches that hold communities together.

Liberals dominate the state education system, the media, the entertainment industry, and the state-run welfare system.

In the event of social collapse, we'll be fine. We'll take out the trash and we'll rebuild the nation without you and yours.

 

The collapse is going to be economic, military etc. The social collapse may come after that.

IMO, it's immoral to stamp your beliefs or social values on someone else.

Before some people drink too much of the "Pax Americana" juice, they should probably face up to the fact that the Iraq we liberated has women wearing the veil where they didn't before, genocide, and a terrorist government.

When you can't win a war in Iraq in 5 years, and the domestic economy is suffering badly from the costs of war, conquering the world is not only unrealistic, it's probably suicidal.

The United States uses force against dirtbags like this to protect the liberty and freedom of the rest of us on the planet.

We're in Iraq right now helping (the Iraqi's are doing the bulk of the work) to protect the Iraqi's against both the Al-Qaeda Sunni Islamists and the Iranian Shia Islamists. We are, as per usual, defending people we barely know and giving them the opportunity to exercise their freedom and liberty. Without us, the Iraqi's would either still be living with no freedom under Saddam or they would be living with no freedom under the dictatorship of Al Qaeda or the Iranians.

But, of course, the Islamists and the Islamists apologists on this forum don't see Islamic violence as a bad thing -- and they see our stopping it as preventing the Islamists from expressing their religious freedom.
