Should i trust 'Betting companies' i send a photo of my passport?

Hello, (My first post)

Almost every Gambling (Sport betting) site ask me to identificate my self with a passport to make sure i'm 18 years + old.

Is it ok? Should i trust them and upload or send them my passport scanned?

Uploading you identity is very seriouse thing and i can't trust them. Maybe they give it other people or selling it. In the web people didn't know that there is "stolen identity" that people using your identity to do things and also ilegal things and you are guilty. I mean after 2 years i can receive a prosecution because i did something i didn't did.

Can anyone tell me more about that and if i should trust those sites (Bet365.com, WilliamHill.com, Bwin.com, Canbet.com) and upload my identity? Because there are Milions of people betting right now -:>ONLINE<:- and i didn't hear about any stolen identity.

Maybe it's not good to upload your passport photo to websites that people can search it in google and find it, but to Sport-Betting Websites it is ok because they don't do anything bad and wrong with that, they only doing that because it is the law thar requires your identity thet you are 18+?

Hi. I work for an online bingo company where we require identification from all players to confirm their age. This is normal procedure for these types of businesses. So long as you are with a respectable company, one that has had a good reputation for many years, you should be safe. They will most likely print out your identification, look at it to verify your age and then stick it in a filing cabinet somewhere.

I have never heard of the companies you mentioned but if you are looking for somewhere respectable I can recommend wsex.com or intertops.com. I know people who work in both of these companies.

EDIT: To ease your worries about your photo being found in google (which it probably wont be anyways if they have a good secure system), try asking if you can email your ID to them rather than uploading it to the site.

If you even have to ask then you already know the answer... you don't know who they are, you don't trust them... why would you send your passport info?

Find a local casino or "club" where you can do some gambling... or better yet, stop gambling.

It's a dirty habit, can ruin your life and put you into financial ruin. But I guess most people think they'll win big.

emm...Gambling or Sport-Betting or anything else based on losing. That's how the Gambling companies earn. They know you will maybe win the first time but 2nd or the 3rd time you are not gonna see your money again.

BUT - I'm intelligent person and i'm not betting normal. I'm a business man which mean i only want to win, YES. One more time. Only to win.

You can only have a profit. Yes not a big profit but if you put 3000$ on it then you got a big profit.

 

NO! they may pay pretty good....but their filthy son of a....can decide not to pay you for some obscure resons they claim are part of their TOS...

i have seen people have no fear to give away their passport utility bill personal information online.. for simple cases..

 

All the mentioned sportsbooks are medium/large players that gain nothing from screwing you. They're reputable sites so no worries.

Of course it's a pain and I prefer not to use websites that do it, but if you must.. I highly recommend PinnacleSports, they're the best on the web and don't require an ID.

Can you name 10 companies that are out to make you money as their customer? Gambling companies are no different from anyone else, they are there to make a profit so yes the odds are in their favour. They are however only slightly in their favour as casinos/ gambling companies work on the basis of volume. Take a UK roulette table (they only have a single 0), they are paid out at 35:1 but the odds of wining are a slightly bit worse at 36:1

Personally have been gambling for over 10 years though I prefer casinos rather than online. Overall I am about even and certainly not the financial ruin others have predicted happens to all gamblers. Playing on the low money tables I simply see the money I am playing with a kin to a fee so if I leave with anything great, if I dont then I have paid £X to have fun.... when I was younger it was much cheaper to go to the casino and gamble £30 than to go to a nightclub with their entrance fees/ inflated bar prices etc (plus better atmosphere, people etc)

 

They require confirmation of your age, I had 1 company telephone me to check I was, who I said I was!
