Going to start my own consulting company. Should I only focus on SEO or should I also include web design? My thinking for including web design is so my customers can get there site done and also optimized by me, one consultants instead of two. Targeting small business owners. I am okay in design. or As my friend suggested, I should just focus on one 1 narrow field: SEO and do some type of referral program with other designers. Thoughts?
You will find that some people will come to ask for seo who will need a complete site re-build as it would not be cost effective to try to optimise their existing site, so i would consider design as well as seo. But you want to promote just one or the other. If you get a design and SEO client, well done, a few more $$ for you, but do one thing you are good at, and do it better than anyone else.
I was also thinking for the get go to outsource all my designs to another freelancer, but sell the service under my name, would just act as a project manager of sort.
Freelancing work and professional company works totally differs and quality that you want in your projects that freelancer won't give. I am not going against freelancing work and expertize of freelancers , but they won't give any much more time towards the projects.
