food wise ... is for take out or dine in check on foodnetwork.com
water 4-6 glasses a day you should be fine
laptop something around $999.99 before tax should get you up and running but since you need answers for basic things you probably be good with a toy laptop for about 10.00-20.00

now B2B can anyone chime on a good amount to spend on google adwords that will get a site going 300 hits a day

You clearly didn't get my point.

If you want 300 hits a day, try targeting stupid keywords that will get you lots of clicks but no conversions. Create an ad like "Free $100 to everyone who reads the first 3 words of this site".

It COMPLETELY depends on what you are selling or what you want your visitors to do.

If you want cheap traffic with AdWords, set up a content network only campaign and set your bids to 1 cent a click.

no i think that went completely over my head.....its a music site for an artist , so its more for people who like that certain type of music to click on the ad and check out the artist.

the answer is easy: less than what you want to get back in sales :)

it depends upon your need . how much promotion u want?

do some small campaigns and you will start understanding it bettr

Unless you are Universal, Sony etc, I doubt your pockets would be deep enough to promote these artists successfully through just AdWords mate.

hmm.. goodman, i understand ur trying to get a straight number,, but the truth is that its too difficult to give a figure...
you can get 300 clicks from AW for anywhere between $70-$1000 :p

it depends on a lot of factors - mainly how u strategize ur campaign...
ur keywords - dont bid on terms like 'music' u'll be comepeting with MTV, Sony .. the big players..
since u said ur focused on getting the artist known, i m assuming that his name isn't that well known.. so no point bidding on that... or maybe it is - u decide

another factor that may help u decide ur costs is : whether u want the promotion to be long term or short term... THIS IS CRITICAL...
for short term : bid low on Keywords.. (15-20 cents per keyword. Cost=$60 for 300 clicks).. u'll get a low CTR (as ur ad position will be low). hence with time ur quality score will drop, and ur expenses will increase.. so basically, u'll have to stop ur campaign after sometime as it'll get too expensive... ;)
for long term: just the opposite. bid high first (so ur expenses for 300 clicks will be high). gradually decrease ur bid money... hence it'll average out after some time...

so what u end up spending will depend on ur strategy...
Make sure, you dont jump into AdWords without proper research... thats the best advice i can give yuh !!!
