I think it will do the forum a lot of good to get rid of the VCCs, currency exchanges, & etc...

But I really hope you won't stop the selling of sig links/avatars...

 

Majority of scams are through VCC, currency exchanges and occasional site selling.

 

Kudos to the staff for ridding the forum of VCC threads and posts. It's a great first step to cleaning up the B/S/T section.

Why? I have seen you post a few times that you sell them.

 

The infraction wasn't for name calling, abuse or expressing your opinion. Posting just to someone their question is stupid is harassing. If you think it was a dumb question then simply move on to something else.

 

Hope selling links on sites/signature won't be banned. As to people getting scammed on DP, I think as long as there are people who are not alert, scammers will scam them...if not on DP, then somewhere else!

 

CrazyRob . . . I'm happy to see the VCC threads gone.

Like other members I don't really see the need on a webmaster forum.

And like everyone else I too hope that threads for stumbles / diggs are banned in the near future.

Link Sales and Sig sales are good. NOT bad. dont ban them ['cos I need to make money out of them ]

but, great banning vcc's [even though i just found out what they were today]

 

So your saying, don't bad link sales and sig sales because YOU make money out of it, and just ban VCC. What about those people who made money from VCC sales?

 

VCC sales enable scammers, scammers suck. Not a hard choice

 

Selling enables scammers. Why not just ban selling and end it all?

 

Its the product being sold doing the enabling, not the selling

Actually I think you people are killing the messenger, I'm sure it was not Crazy_Rob's choice to ban VCC sales.

 

Policy decisions are made as a group.

 

In fact I've never realized that VCC is the major source of scammers walking aroud us here.

So it is a very good move, Im curious if or how it affect the scam/noscam ratio. But I hope it will go to the better way
