If that happened in the last 2 days .. I will give it up to a week before confirming that this is a penalty

Your going to need more than $25 mate. Especially if you, yourself have been in the SEO business for a year.

I think its a certain link you have. Or links. To similar for all your sites. That would be my thoughts. Or maybe your using your sites as a network to link between them. Im not to sure.

Are you sure that there's a sandbox effect??? It is mostly speculation some new websites suffer some don't. Ok you maybe correct on the Google dance because its not once a month that they update rankings but if i'm not mistaken they do it every week. These ongoing updates feature mostly minor algorithm and index updates. In SeoGuy's case, his sites are on the same IP's and the algorithm update affected it.

SEOguy...I have the same EXACT problem as you...also starting january 15th....its affecting 3 of my websites all that are a month or two old. I am not getting too worried because google has been acting weird after the last PR toolbar export. I have been doing SEO for over 4 years and this even confuses me..but I have been through everything and Im not too worried, everything usually settles down in good time. On a positive note...some of the other google servers are starting to show my better rankings..which is a good sign..so should be good for you as well. If in 5-7 days from now its still the same maybe we can compare information and try to see what the common cause of this may be.

I have been in SEO since 2003 and luckily enough i archived this SE news in 2005 : Matt Cutts Confirms Google Sandbox Exists. It has not been sheer speculation about Sandbox. It does exist and for some reason, Google does not seem to come clean to this issue. Experiences tell me that a relative new site of less than a year might ultimately disappear from the SERPs for quite a while and reappear the next time at the bottom of the SERPs. Believe it or not, this is the way Google house new sites and protect against spamming sites.

    :D

I am writing that one down. That line is pure genius!

While Google may know everything from your address based on your telephone number to what time you sunbathe on your roof in your birthday suit, I can't for the life of me figure out how they would know if you have paid someone to link to your site.

The problem with your sites is the the links at the bottom of the page. Those sitewide links on everyone of your sites is spammy. You are getting penalized for them, Get rid of them. Sitewide footer links are not the way to go, Matt Cutts has mentioned it several times.

Remove them, check your rankings in 2 weeks, and send me $25.

I don't want any money I'm just happy to help...

The links on the bottom linking to all your site, I'm seeing more sites being penalized for this...unless all your site's are all on the same IP. If they are not on the same IP, I would not link to each other unless the theme's are very similiar, such as a dog website linking to a dog grooming website.

If your sites are new for the first year these things happen...give it 1-2 weeks, just keep updating content, etc.

    Good luck.

well, looks like you are currently using paid services for links building...
Yahoo is not so good (so far) in determining whether you are paying for getting links, but Google is.
Stop using cheap links building services and choose carefully where you place your links on

Im doubtful http://www.rjlenterprisesseo.com/ was at #73 for "seo services"

Very little content at all even related to the subject. I take it you bought the domains when they ranked before?

Yes, it was #73 for SEO services and with little effort. Do you think I make this up for fun? The only domain I bought was bunkbedspedia.com. Every other website I ranked myself. Please keep this type of bashing to yourself.

If this were true BunkBedsPedia wouldn't have fell in rankings in addition to the other websites. This site doesn't have any sitewide footer links except for the 1 that has been there for matresses since the websites first began. I doubt google would penalize a site that much for one sitewide link.

For some reason my rankings on Google Canada (google.ca) are still mostly the same as Google USA before the websites rankings fell. This is an odd, but good sign.

Hardly a bashing, guess you rank so low because of the quality of the site then

I dont need or want $25, but I'm convinced there was a major algo change right around Thanksgiving. (Took some time to filter through). Will your (and mine) sites bounce back, I dont know.... I plummeted off of page 1 for a moment there, but finally rank (varies) between 10 - 14th. Cant seem to get back to top 5 though. All of my effort has gave me #1 on MSN though. I'm hoping it will bounce back after some time. Good luck though.

My theory? You don't know the first thing to do with SEO, doesn't really matter why it happened. Only what it takes to fix it and that's easy anchor text.
