PR Updating Again?

Do you mean it's updating again from the one that's started 2 days ago, or where you just slow and did not see the other several dozen PR threads?

 

Great to hear that they are updating!! My site Ulpukka.com has not changed

 

I do think they are updateing and my site has moved.

 

I have my Pr changed last friday... I've got PR 2...

 

My new site got PR0.............couple of days back.

 

I also noticed that Pagerank is updating...one of my blog is going up...

 

this pr subject is boring but for those whom collected pr its awesome Now pr is truly dynamic but dont waste time worring about it it could kill your web design set up and search

 

i ve had some changes to some of mine, nothing major though and they seem to be fluxtuating

no update for my site. Only my DP profile got PR5

 

Just goes to show how useless and inaccurate Pagerank is, as example you get a PR5 with 100 links to your profile and mine is PR3 with 4,000 links.

 

There currently twitching and testing out PR. The 1st Quarter PR update will be within the next fortnight.. Hopefully it happens soon, im predicting it will.

I think it might be right though.

E.G The PR5 with 100 links, may have good links. Links in the most popular threads e.g Page rank, the threads that go for 50 pages and get 10 000 replies.

Whereas the PR3 with 4000 links, may have links only in small threads.

Possible. But unlikely.

 

I've got posts in PR4 and PR3 threads, posts in Sticky threads etc.

For him to have a PR5 that's accurate, he would have to post in at least a dozen PR4 threads... And these threads would need to have very few replies due to the dampening factor of other peoples outbound signature links, and links to others profiles reducing the amount of PR passed to his profile.

I watched the first ever public Pagerank export roll out, and i will say it's getting more inaccurate with every passing update to the point where it's now basically useless as a metric.

 

Well your argument is pretty comprehensive.

I agree the PR system is inaccurate.

Many times, PR4 sites of myn, recieving no traffic and no backlinks, are also from blogspot blogs.

Whereas my own domains and good sites, high traffic and backlinks get a lower Pr than the weak blogspot blogs.

 

Yeah google seem to give a higher ranking to bloggers.Any way i still haven't seen any changes in PR you guys are talking about.

Yes Quite Right.Last sunday on the 13th of January,Google again put up a crawl for PR and backlinks.The last time Google updated the PR and backlinks was on the last week of October which was after a gap of six months.But this time the gap was only for three months.And to be more precise am not sure what the crawl was mainly for PR???backlinks??or both??Well the reason it seems Google has changed it method of crawling.Earlier whenever there was a crawl for PR and backlinks only those links would be highlighted that added the PR value to the already existing PR of the website.What I could analys from three of my websites after the latest crawl was that all links present for the website would be cached by the spiders.The pr for one of my website did increase and so did it's PR but the backlinks for the other couple of websites that I work upon increased from 49 to a whopping 265!!! and from 11 to 170....respectively.Various inputs are terming this crawl to be partial.I cannot post the link as my post criteria doesn't permit me to do so,but if anybody is really interested in knowing the updates time table they can PM me I will provide them with the crawl chart.
