Has anyone had an success in gaining target traffic to their website by placing photos on flickr? It may not be suited to everyone's niche, but I think it might help me.

Should I be placing a visible copyright on the photos I upload or my web address?

not really. there are human also in there. if we use the potential wisely, of cause we can generated good traffic to our website. I give you a concept which is I use for current being.

Setup a flickr account > upload images with your website watermark > in the same time, make sure your website is built for human not for ads.

conversion rate? I get $20 something daily from just one of my site. :)

I'm pretty sure my site would be considered 'built for humans'. Thank you for your input, I realise that flickr is no use for some niches (like SEO) but for an animal related niche I thought it might have some potential.

If we talk in terms of getting Google Image Search traffic, it is impossible.

I observed that flickr.com does not give traffic for a site but google images it is. The important to do is to add "ALT" title in your images as to rank well and to give traffic to your blog or website.
