The US is really starting to get crowed.

-The U.S. population is growing by about 2.5 million people each year.
-The United States has one of the highest natural growth rates (0.7%) of any industrialized country in the world. For comparison, the United Kingdom's natural increase is one quarter the rate of the U.S. at 0.2%, while Germany's natural increase is 0.
-Using the Census Bureau's medium projections, U.S. population will grow to 394 million by the year 2050.
-Eight states have population growth rates over 2.0%, which means their population will double in less than 35 years.
-By 2010, when California's population reaches 50 million, population densities in coastal California will reach 1,050 people per square mile.

All of these babies are illegal immigrants because they didn't fill out the proper government forms before they were born. :p

Probably should re-enact the emperor's decree and kill all male children 2 and under.
The Egyptian pharaoh did this too years before that, maybe they were onto something.

The government fills out the paper work upon entry.

A have a legal immigrant working for me. I have no problems hiring him. The issue that the US has is there apart from a legal system of immigration, there is an underground system of illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration is a free for all. There are even in fact illegal immigrants that are using a variety of names. These illegals even get legal status for some of the names and collect welfare at the same time as they are working.

This is also true for a lot of these babies parents, and will eventually be true for a lot of these babies unless we reform the system. :)

Hi ... anyone mention the 4.3 million live births in 2006 = 1.4% or 2/3rds the net replacement rate. At this rate, not counting massive legal and illegal immigration, the US starts losing population any day now. Immigration, of all sorts, is thus necessary. As most, if not all, developed countries (n = 29) have birth rates below replacement, where will the immigration source? The so-called third world, I imagine. Has everyone consider learning an Asia language? :):):)

Why? When the US runs out of resources and room, we're just going to form the North American Union and make Canada (officially) the 51st state.

How does Prime Minister Clinton sound to you? ;)

Except, of course, that no one with any sense wants to merge with Canada because Canada has a long history as a socialist nation.

That's what you're going to get with world government.

When world government finally comes, it will either be an intelligent and benevolent world government led by a country like the United States or a brutal and dominating world government led by a country like China or Iran.

I know my choice. I'd rather the social genetics of the United States be stamped on every nation of the world than to have China or Iran become the model for the new world.

Those isolationists who deny the role of the United States in leading the entire world into peace and prosperity doom the United States to being the final country to fall into dictatorship and poverty.

This is really healthy. Economically as well. I remember all the discussion about the baby boomers during the Vietnam war.

Im not to suprised about Australia. There population has been going through the roof lately. I think there near 25 million already.

Nonsense. It will be totally different. You won't have the Constitutional rights of an America, and you won't have the economic freedom of a China, and you certainly won't have the religious theocracy of an Iran.

You can't be pro-liberty and then endorse coercion to change the world. It's incompatible.

The US should be a bastion and an example of liberty. Provide opportunities and education.

Unfortunately, interventionism by definition is not pro-liberty. And it's bankrupting us. We're going to fall into dictatorship and poverty due to the hubris of people who feel as you do.

We're broke Will. The bill hasn't arrived yet, but we know it's in the mail, and China is on the march.

No one wants to address this, no one (outside of RP supporters) is talking about this during the election. The US military, back into Afghanistan (as allies are overmatched and lose resolve). Iraq war ongoing (longer than WWII, more expensive than WWII and Vietnam combined, a country without an army, navy or airforce).

We're not winning, at best we're holding our ground, as everything sells out to our foreign creditors.

It's time to put the neo-conservative ideology aside, and get real with people. Or there won't be an America in 25 years to lead the world.

At this rate America has only 15-20 years left before a total collapse. The direction we are going is in the opposite direction of what our founding fathers had in mind.

The US population is growing and in many states we aew running out of room.

Countries like Mexico a exporting their population to the US because their government is corrupt. They refuse to reform and are attempting to lower the social pressures that they face.
