I'm looking for some solutions with regards to incorporating chat rooms within a community website. There could potentially be thousands of users on the site at any one time.

Baring this in mind what solutions are out there for giving the users a chat room system which is based within the website? What server requirements do I need and if you could list some of the pros and cons that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I just followed the link and when I got there there are some broken links and the site doesn't really say much about what you're doing.

You might also want to spruce up the design of your site if you're going to use it as the platform to sell your chat hosting or whatever it is you are selling.

We are looking for a professional solution to this problem and what you are offering doesn't come across that way. Perhaps I am wrong though...

actually i bought the domain few weeks back from godaddy and its not good enough for me means the country where i belong the site isnt opening there.but still i do have clients becoz of my msn support service plus i currently running a digichat thtz why i ask u to pm me if u couldnt find wot u r looking for . becoz u may have digichat but with much price from other i am selling the best one right now .as far as i know becoz i do have new commands included in my digichat service which is not yet been implemented by others .i can give u the link in pvt where i have 600 users at a time connected and its my client if u are intrested.and i do have a good website but its not in english its in arabic.and i thought u cant understand arabic. u can try my chat room by monthly payment if u dont like then u will have soo many choices.i do have a client whoz site has alexa rank traffic : 6,300 its all depends on intrest dear .i know wot i am selling and i offered u becoz i know i can give u wot u r looking for.
let me know if u still have intrest in my chat but pvt me becoz i cant give my clients detail here.thanks

    i do have.

buy the good server which could handle 1000 concurrent user at a time then contact to www.digichat.com for buying license for 1,000 users and ask them to install it on ur server they will charge both ( License + Installation ) it may be expensive but its my suggestion to u if u cant rely on other's services and looking for the professionals as u said before then u must do it like making professionals chat community sites.

    hope this will help u
    bye

lol I have to say I'm admiring your persistance. I'd like to be able to review at least 3 or 4 top quality applications before making a final decision.

One very high quality application I've found so far is www.flashcoms.com

An associate of mine also pointed me in the direction of www.123flashchat.com which seems pretty good.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't captured any more interest than a few users. I would have thought that many webmasters would have some experience with live chat.

Thanks for the alternative solution DIGI :)
