I am curious, how do people fake their site's PR?

I have checked a few offers of link sales and they do not show up in Google tool bar and when I check www.checkpagerank.net they are showed as forged.

Does this mean they are really forged or could it be a mistake?

All the ones that show up forged on Check Page Rank show NA in the Google tool bar. Are there that many that are forging PR?

Look at the cached version of the page.

If it is faked, you will see the site that it redirects to, rather than the original site.

I am doing neither, I do not want to fake PR, I was wondering how it is done so I can detect the true fakes. I do not need dishonest tactics to make money, all my dealings are clearly laid out and are legit. If you look through the link section and run a lot of sites, you will find claims that are faked. I was wondering, as I first stated, if all these are really faked or if they could be just mistakes.

As you can see by both my rep and my iTrader, I do not play those games and I am offended that you openly accuse someone who has such a record.

Red was added from me and as you can see, I even sign those!

spurious redirections can give you fake PR, but what will one do with it, even a scammer will not try to do that with all those PR checking tools available online, its a waste of time i say
