Please please please help me figure out what to do with BuyingUsed.com Okay so i have this domain buyingused.com .. I really want to develop it but i need some guidance on which direction to take it in... Instead of having 10-20 niche sites, i rather have only this 1 site but put all my time and energy into this 1 site.. so i need an idea that can be big, and have potential to really grow.. here are a couple ideas i had, please help me think of which one is better 1.) BuyingUsed.com could be an article site, on how to buy used items and what to look for when buying things used, to make sure you are not getting ripped off and that the item is in good condition... i.e. how to buy a used piano... how to buy a used stereo... how to buy a used watch etc etc... I already have 20 unique articles written, but do you think this idea has potential? 2.) A forum for buying things used... not selling stuff directly off the forum.. but members helping eachother find good deals on used items what do you guys think?
Well, what do you want out of it? Are you looking to monetize it? Do you just want a popular site? It seems idea number one is going to be easier to SEO, and make a profit through ads and such. Although, with such a good domain name, maybe you should consider selling it for a profit?
Yes, however but your forums in a subdomain, that way the SE's see it as two different sites. For example: buyingused.com - main article site forums.buyingused.com - trading forums
uuhh, no. Why would I target this forum for health products? LOL. Also noticed I removed the LINK, so it's JUST TEXT.. wow. The guy asked what he should do, so I provided an example. Looks like you're just trying to get your post count up, haha.
Sounds like a good used car website. Have you tried selling the domain? You might get some coin for it that way or develop a how-to site for buying a used car and put some ads on it. Just my two cents.
Put up a static page that says "Future Home of BuyingUsed.com with some photoshopped together logo, no ads or anything else. Stuff it with good relevant keywords (used words...used cars, used etc...). Then, get backlinks by the thousands...cheap here on DP. Also, submit it to Bluehat's Quick Indexing Tool. http://www.bluehatseo.com/cgi-bin/quit.cgi You should get lots of pagerank and good SERP results. Once you are happy with all the various rankings (Yahoo, Google, Alexa, MSN, etc...) either sell it or start some affiliate marketing through a used auto site or something.
