US Policy Would Allow Government Access to Any Email

    National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell is currently helping to draft a new Cyber-Security Policy that could make the debate over warrantless wiretaps seem like a petty squabble. The new policy would allow the government to access to the content of any email, file transfer, or web search.

    You're right, they already do. I believe they have been doing it since around 2001. They have filters that catch certain words and phrases, ISP's cooperate with them.

    This is something I expected only out of the previous Warsaw Pact countries, certainly not from USA. And Bush does have the audacity to go everywhere to preach his democracy. Time to clean his own house I think.
