    Interesting,

It is nice to read the pros and cons of this new deal to get a feel for whether it will be successful or not. Having been using adsense since start, and also seeing revenues shrink every month for the last year while my hits have tripled, makes you wonder if it is not time for a shift to a new medium.

As to those who think it would send people away, funny, the same things were said when google started, so much for that line of thinking. Never say never is my motto. I like the concept, anything that will bring back the income I once was earning would be great.

I just hope they pay. lol The great part about PayPerPlay is you will know within a few hours if it is going to be worth it or not. With clicks going down the drain, hits increasing, this sounds like a winner in my scenario, although I will agree with some, it all depends on your sites. I have dozens, so I will be selective to start during beta testing stages. With all the time spent playing with positioning, colors, etc. with PPC, this is a breeze, set and forget, I like that aspect most of all. Time will tell.

    Good luck to all, Mike

So in other words, this could be a total flop. I'll probably wait until first round of checks go out before I even consider it.

    Funny,

Right, another AGLOCO deal which many spent a ton of time promoting, and then nothing. This is different though, you will be able to see or not see results immediately, and of course, the check is the final test, but given all the time that went into development, they would pretty stupid not to pay.

    Good luck to all, Mike

    Quote from their site:
All publishers are paid on a weekly basis. Payments can be made via PayPal, wire transfer or by check sent to any address worldwide.

So I'll give them a chance

This will get abused and spit out almost immediately. imagine signing up, paying 5.00 to have 10k shit visitors pushed to your site and then collecting the 100 dollars that comes with those shit 10k visitors assuming that they are all tier 3 .01 plays.

    Curious,

What would you classify as shXt hits? If they have ears, the message heard, then the advertiser got their monies worth as I see it. They have to be hits which last more than a second, so as long as ad bites start even before some pages load, sounds like it would make no difference who visits site, as long as it is not robots. lol

    Good luck to all, Mike

People aren't reading correctly. The advertisers pay 1-3 cents an ad play, but an affiliate gets 35% of that. So 10k hits would equal $35 for the affiliate. They have signed up over 9 million websites since Dec. 6 and they were mentioned in the Wall Street Journal recently. I don't think that they're like agloco because they had the advertisers before they had the publishers. They shouldn't fall flat because this is similar to radio advertising and last time I checked they still do radio ads. As a bonus, I will help anybody who signs up under me to get alot of traffic. This includes a special stumbler program.

I almost wonder if it'd be worth it to install the audio ads, then if someone steers away from your website pop up a small poll asking if the audio ads were the reason they left, or what the surfer thought of them.

Of course, that could be just as annoying...

So what is everyone waiting for, to make money at this you dont need 10K hits you need 20 affiliates all getting 10K hits.

I have signed up 22 affiliates with me, and I am helping them sign up more of their own. So far I have 268 active sites and as of today that reads for 19,223 hits according to their back office.. Not including my own.

I need a few more good Men (or Ladies), take a crack at my sig link.

I really think this will work out great! It just needs time and besides, if you pay why wont i work with them? And another good thing is to make a whole site just for it and then place a link on your main site to see how that turns out!

This is a good plan, except most of my referral network = adult webmasters... and while Net Audio Ads' terms don't seem to exclude adult, I just can't really see having autoplay on a porn site working too well... I mean, there's the cliche of the guy sneakily browsing porn sites and then a loud video/ad waking his wife for a reason.

If anyone feels like being generous to a small-time player like yours truly, theirs a reflink on my personal blog (linked via my profile).

But yes, if this takes off those of you who have managed to sign up many people will be very lucky :)

Well said. I am pretty sure that Pay Per play took this into account of the 5 seconds of audio. I am sure there was some kind of research of the length of audio to make it effective enough.

And not all people have their speakers off. Like ABacchetta wrot let the people/consumers decide.

And I signed up with PPP from I guess with one of the owners or people that is setting up the site. His name is Gene and is one of the staff/mods over at Namepros. He is answering all possible questions and working out the kinks in a thread at Namepros.

And on the thread as well as the sites blog, Gene mentions that Wall Street Journal is talking about the site.

I am very confused (happens often) per their blog, they have 9,000,000 sites signed up and will be showing 33,000,000 ads per day. So thats only 3.67 ads per site per day! So 3.67 X 0.02 per ad = 0.0734c, so earnings per site (25%) = 0.018c per day!!!

    Hope I am wrong!

    From FAQ

QUESTION: How is it that publishers get to keep 100% of their traffic (by not requiring a click)? Aren't you losing money?

ANSWER: This is a common misunderstanding and this is why PPP is so revolutionary. The advertiser has paid to have a 5 second audio ad played on your website. You are paid just for the ad playing, no clicks or action from the website visitor is necessary.

We are not losing money, we actually make more because the ad is triggered on 100% of the website's traffic. In essence the website owner is then paid for 100% of their traffic.

Best of all, the visitor never leaves your website so you have the chance to monetize even more. All other forms of media require a click or some kind of action that leads people away from a website. As you can see PPP is quite different.

If I understand it right, those stats are based on the current information. That means you need to take into account

    A) sites that haven't added the code yet and aren't getting any hits at all

    B) small sites that don't get traffic

    C) growth factor. If they are using targeted ads, certain sites may not get as many ads as other sites. This will become less of a problem as they grow and get more advertisers.

just found that the stats are basically being kept off line as they are dealing with an auto surf scam. Once identified, will update. Also circa 80% of all views should monitise, 20% = allowing for visits under 2 seconds (which they dont pay on)

    Feeling better now!
