Losing indexed pages in google? Anyone know why?

about a week ago i had 65 pages indexed in google. For the past week ive been slowly losing indexed pages and im now down to 47.

    Any idea why?

The only thing i can really think of is the templating is causing duplicate content issues?

Webmaster tools says content has no problems.

I recently had a huge jump in serps for allot of main keywords after the last PR update. So that is good.

I just want my pages back in google.

    Here is the site.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not a huge problem. You will often get some dropping in and out on newer sites. As your backlinks increase and your site gets crawled more frequently they will become more stable.

    Good Luck with the site

BrendanGall, I also see pages drop out of the index, only to reappear a few days later when additional pages get added as well.

SnowBear - what happens to my site, sounds exactly like what you are talking about. My site only first appeared in Google on Dec. 15

Alright Ill give it some time. I just really dont want to lose my main keyword pages as some are bringing in 200-300 uniques a day.

What you describe is common, and I wouldnt panic too much about it. I know at first it is concerning when some pages disappear off the radar, but they will be back as long as you continue to do the right things.

Getting the spiders coming your way regularly is important, and that means primarily getting yourself some good back links.

Also do your best to make your site crawl-friendly. You could even consider submitting a site map to google.

Let me give you the best piece of advice I can. Stop looking at stats(statistics) for your site. Just put your head down and work. Stats are just a form of mental masturbation. You'll think you're working on your site, but in reality you're just playing with yourself.

And to answer your question, this happens. Your indexed pages will drop, they'll come back in a weeks time. It's just the way google is. Just keep your head down and build build build. Good things will happen.

Always have an updated sitemap submitted. Says it contains about 85 urls of which only 47 indexed.

I was just concerned becuase Ive seen pages jump in and out, but never 15+ pages within such a short time.

Ill give it some time though and see whats up. Thanks.
