    Thanks

I joined and DNS change is done. Looking forward to being part of this.
One question, How do I get to the settings? Maybe it's just not showing yet
or am I just blind and don't see the link?

Go to the Admin panel once you log in. It should be up in the top right corner of your page..

Just PMed.. Your DNS is finished and your store is now active... Sorry for the wait...

Do a quick search in Google for "how to find Amazon ASIN" and you should find it right away. It's a product identification number that looks like B0009VXBAQ or 1904811825. It's always in the URL between "/" and "/", usually a couple directories deep in the string.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. It's strange but the ADMIN link wont show in FireFox for me for some reason. I tried refreshing and logging out and back in but not there. I finally got to it but I had open IE.

That is strange. I mainly use Firefox (we test on IE as well), and it shows fine.

I'm on Firefox 2.0.0.11, what version are you on?

I know. Cross-over and you'll never go back. What's amazing is how high the percentage of Internet users still on IE...

No problem. I'm not sure the RSS is entirely working, but a do have a number of test feeds running on my site that seem okay and are updating.

Any feedback on the SPOTLIGHT feature in general? Should I rename that ARTICLES? I was thinking of it.

Then perhaps renaming ARTICLES to FEEDS to be more accurate.

This seems interesting, so could you explain if we're buying the script or rights to a hosted version of the site and just point our nameservers to it?

I think "feeds" would be appropriate.

The second... Much like a yahoo store or MonsterCommerce, you're paying for a service. That service is a combination of hosting, bandwidth, and access to use our software via a limited license. A basic ASP delivery model (which is all I've really done for the last 13 years).

And yes, it runs under your domain. So you point your domain at us (right now just A RECORD / CNAME, but NAME SERVERS coming soon) and you're up and running. If you don't make any money / decide you don't want to run the niche store anymore, you simply point your domain somewhere else... You get all the link juice.

Thanks for the feedback. I think it's clearer. I'll put that enhancement in the development queue..

I agree on this point. I found the "ARTICLES" confusing as it is now.

I just noticed that all the information is simply pulled off of other websites, and no attempt is made to change the order of the words or anything...That's just bad for SEO, and since I get most of my visitors from SEO....

It's a nice product to use online marketing, but definitely not SEO, considering all the duplicate content. Also, if everyone on the forum is using this, then that would mean TONS of dupe content and Search Engine hate for most of your sites...

You're going to have to explain yourself a little better Sixty6. What site are you talking about? Which URL did you go to? We've been discussing about 25 different URLs in this thread...

I doubt very much that this product would get hit with any duplicate content issues. Each store is a different mix of different products in different niches. The RSS feeds that are pulling in are different because each store operator seeds them. Also, I don't know of any other script that is merging Amazon, eBay and CJ products... So, I appreciate your feedback. But have to say that I very much doubt your analysis is correct.

Lastly, I've gotten a question about how to validate that your eBay PID is in the link to eBay. This is a great question, and more difficult to validate than Amazon because of how eBay does an immediate re-direct when you land at their site.

Also, you would not be able to see the PID in the outbound link on your Niche Store because that link points to "Out_E." Here is the code from "Out_E" that puts together the forwarder link... Notice the #Get_Store_Info.CJ_PID#, that's where your PID is inserted.

    set link = 'http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?SID=C4usNicheStore&PID=#Get_Store_Info.CJ_PID#&loc=' & '#URLENCODEDFORMAT(ID)#'

eBay does a quick re-direct when they receive this. The best way to test it is to catch the landing page at eBay before the redirect (if you can). Or better yet, buy something cheap and see it in your CJ account. It usually takes me about 48 hours to see stuff from eBay in my CJ account.

Hope this helps... If it doesn't, I could put a pause temporarily on the redirect page so you could see it in action.. Just let me know.
