I keep hearing about snapnames.com everyhere including here. How does that work? Is it easy to set up? Do they charge a fee like ebay? Do they all have to be developed or can names only be sold. Can I use paypal or not? Any other advice. Or anywhere else besides ebay good for pruning my list and getting rid unwanted names. Rather than just letting them expire and not even getting reg fee. ivnj
I use snapnames they have actually been better than a couple of other company's in securing expired dot coms for me but I use my c/card . not sure on the paypal bit with them sorry, https://www.snapnames.com/index.jsp
snapnames is excellent. They do not accept paypal. they have domain auctions and you just have to bid on the domains, if you win, the domain is yours at the price you bid.
yes you can sell your names @ snapnames. You need to email their portfolio department although I do not know how the procedure works. The money you earn can be used by you to buy/backorder another domain or they pay you the money if you request it.
To get into snapname sellers program contact them asking about it, i believe jonathan stanfil was managing accounts (not sure how many others). You will need to fill out a few forms if they accept you (need to send them a list of domains). Then you transfer over to UDOMAINNAME.com (manage.snapnames.com their registrar). Work with account manager to setup reserves/auction schedule. Your domains get sold through portfolio sales but appear and can be searched like expiring names. It just adds some extra options to your snapnames account.
What is their average response time to portfolio sales? Sent them a list a few days back yet to receive a response.
ARonald: generally pretty fast, but as I said that whole company going through a lot of changes atm (oversee acquired snapnames and moniker) so I can see there be a bit of sorting out to do. Try calling them?
Thank you for the reply. Yep a lot of things going on and they seem to be busy with the live and extended auctions as well. I will try calling them. ARonald
I've gotten a few names from snap, but lately they haven't been doing so good for me. Another alternative is Pool.com
