Hi, i am using Photoshop CS and i have a quick question regarding styles applied to layers. When i apply a style to a layer such as "Drop Shadow" i set the shadow angle to 90 degrees. Then i apply the "Drop Shadow" style again to another layer, however if i change the angle of the shadow on this layer, all of the other angles change aswell on all the other layers My question is: Is there a way to apply a different syle angle to different layers (without having to rasterise each layer) or does every layer have to have the same angle style, thanks in advance
Yeah it's a bit of an annoying problem that, I think that that determines the light source for the whole project file, Im not sure theres a way around that.. I stand to be corrected, -Hecky.
you will notice an option that says something like apply global lighting or somehtin, un check it and change the angle
Yeah, that little nugget will trip you up over and over, alot of times, i want the same light source, but when if you are lookin to have a drop shadow on a word and an inner shadow on an object, you want to uncheck global. If you want to make a destructive edit, you can duplicate the layer with the shadow, Cmd (Ctrl on PC) E and combine the 2 layers, then you have a no editable piece, but for non-destructive edits, global needs to be empty
