Where can i submit links to my cartoon videos in order to get lots of traffic? I used to do it at alluc.org but they stopped accepting my videos for some reason. Mike
Maybe submit your videos to YouTube and have links from your profile to your website. Also if you can edit the videos and have the link appear in it it may be a bonus. There are of course more than YouTube (dailymotion, metacafe...). Submit some videos to digg and other social bookmarking sites, spread the word on other video blogs. Just some ideas.
I want the traffic to come to my site. I dont want to add the videos to sites like youtube. I am well aware of this and it wasn't what I asked.
have you tried videoadfactory.com? you can create your video and it can be linked to what over URL you specified.... i am surprised no one offer this feature...
To get traffic you can go where the traffic is ie Youtube metacafe and the likes, If I am not mistaking that is what InFlames meant mikey. Unless you pay for traffic and SEO the site what other way is there. Do you mean submiting just links or do you want the cartoons to play (ie imbedded) I'd also like to announce a change in allucs linking rules: From now on we will also accept links to other link-sites. So If you know another site with videos which would fit into a specific category, feel free to post a link to those videos in that category inside a season called "Linksites"(You might have to create that) or post links to the single videos inside the seasons. kind regards comparco
I clearly understand what you asked. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. (@ comparco, yes that's what I meant) Having a link from YouTube to your site will bring you traffic. You don't have to submit hundreds of videos to YouTube, but if you have a funny one that get thousands of views and says "More videos like these on yoursite.com", then it actually brings traffic too. YouTube users are people interested in videos, so you can get them from there. Here's an example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnjb8Hx76u8 (near 600.000 views and the video shows a link to a video site.) Don't forget to add your link in the "About this video" section.
Since videos are perfect for viral marketing, do you have any controversial, funny, shocking videos ? Spreading controversial stuff on forums always works extremely well. Ever heard of 2girls1cup ? Totally sick shit, don't watch it, but it gets flooded with traffic, people even make videos about reactions of people watching it on youtube.
I agree with inFlames, you tube is a good way to get traffic to your site if you can make shit with watching.
To get loads of traffic create funny videos or videos that add lots of value. I chose the latter and I had 50K views in the last 90 days. You can increase traffic by posting your videos on Google Video, Yahoo Video and another 50 video sites. I suggest adding viral friend generator to create viral traffic on your site - that is what helps gets viral traffic. Good Luck.
I was always aware of this concept and as my videos were not unique (simpsons clips) there was no point doing this. I used to post the links to MY SITE on alluc.org but they stopped accepting them so I was looking for similar sites.
