Call of Duty 4 - Modern Combat - Best FPS Game Ever?

So, I picked up a copy of COD4 last week, and have been suffering terrible insomnia ever sine.

This has to be the best first person shooter game to date. Incredible story and game play. I'm playing it on my PC (NERD!) and the graphics are simply amazing. Anybody else played?

 

I wouldn't say it's the best when theres Team Fortress 2, Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3 and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

 

I like COD4, but I'm not as wacky over it as I was over Battlefield when it came out or over Rainbow Six Vegas. It is a great game though, I just need to stay off of it to get some work done!!!

Very cool graphics, but my favorite is still counter strike

 

I haven't played the others, but I couldn't stand ET: Quake Wars when I played it. Now Battlefield 2142... well, let's just say that COD4 was the first DVD to replace it in my gaming laptop in about 18 months. Great series, but I still gotta go with COD4 for graphics and realism.

 

I have it for xbox 360 and I think its the best game out. I looked online at my stats and I have put in over 80+ hours playing live since it came out. I'm usally not that big into video games, I didn't play halo 3 all the way through.

 

I am looking forward to buying this in the next few days...

i have cod4 for the xbox360, it is SO addicting

it's hard not to stay up late playing it.

I played the first version of COD and thought it was pretty good. My friend plays COD4 all the time. He says its one of the best games out there and that says a lot since he rarely keeps a game longer then a month.

 

Dunno if it is the best, but i'm sure it is among the bests FPS ever created. Very very good game.

 

I am a HUGE CoD fan. I have it for the xbox and for PC. The pc graphics are much better, but personally I liked the multiplayer in CoD2 (PC) much better. Don't get me wrong, CoD4 is a great game, I just like CoD2 for PC much better.

 

The campaign was just too short. The game is SO amazing but just as you're getting into it, BAM - game over. WTF?!

 

Gears of War 4 on XBOX has to be better than this. Both are great games though im sure of that.

 

I'm yet to try it but as soon as I get a job i'm so going to get it. I saw it on a friends computer and it damn well looks sweet.

Multiplayer looks real fun as well.

 

Multiplayer is very well built in, probablly the best out there. Do you have any fav. servers?

 

Multi-Player yes by miles, not so sure the single player is as good. Crysis is far better in single player mode imho.

 

I played the single player at my friend's house as my pc's configuration wont support the game and I also dont have a next gen console. The graphics was really awesome, and the best I have seen so far. Maybe I will change my mind when I get to play Crysis
