Does the back links of sites with different contents increase page rank? If my site is on topic of "website Designing" and i get links of different sites with different topics e.g "Online Money Making", "pharmaceuticals" , "textiles" etc, will it increase the page rank of my site? Or should i get targeted back links for this purpose (Only back links with web designing websites? Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated. Please tell me if you need more details. Thanks in advance.
I guess relevancy of links doesn't play a rule in increasing PR but unrelevant links won't give any help with your rankings. To improved rankings you need quality links.
You need ONE WAY links from relevant pages. "What is a relevant page?", you ask. A relevant page is one that includes the same keywords as your site.
hey This is how increase my page rank from 0 to 3 the link in my signature I just found a really video that around my content area submitted to digg but make sure it so funny you wet your pants in made it too the front page and like 1200 links were created instantly i am sure they were not all high quality since most came from forums so Just create 10 - 20 links a day post on blogs revel ant to your conent of your site dont worry about the no follow tag because you want traffic too. If you are making that many post a day it wouldn't really matter and also make sure you join other social communities and be active providing high quality content

wats ur site theme related to ???? may be u can find members having same theme sites to link exchange with or can provide u with one way link too. and about pagerank ??? get quality backlinks from good PR sites having less outgoing links will benefit your site PR for sure. Puneet M
Create lots of unique and valuable information, and participate and submit those information on social networking sites like digg/propeller and slashdot. if they are of high quality, people will automatially give you relevant -high quality links and you get good PR.
Now a days it gets very difficult to get backlinks except from PR0 pages. And you need thousands of those just to make yours PR3.
Beg to differ... I got my first PR3 on a subcategory page. My homepahe got PR3 well after and it is the page I was building link for... Success don't come from PR's, PR follow success. Make your website successful and your PR will follow.
