More site link to that page so rank is higher. Try getting some more links back to main page.

Yes. it's a normal case since pages are ranked independently.. it can be due to the strong backlinks of the inner page than the IBLs of the homepage

I have the same results, I search back links but my inner pages with new PR4 don't have more links that my main page and links are less strong that the others. May be for dance updates?

No, this is not normal. Neither is what many webmasters, including myself, are experiencing. Our homepages have most of the backlinks, yet our inner pages outrank the homepages.

Two of my newest sites had no pr prior to this update. Some inner pages are pr 2, pr 0, and pr nr, while the homepage is a pr 0. There is one backlink pointing to the pr 2 pages. The page this backlink comes from also has a backlink to my homepage.

It's possible the pr update is not completed, or there was a glitch. There are other possibilities too which would include being penalized from receiving links from bad neighborhood sites. While this is doubtful, a change in how Google calculates pr may be the culprit.

It all has to do with where the back links pointing to your sites are pointing.

The latest update caused one of my clients websites to do this - PR2 frontpage and PR4 for some internal pages. It hasnt affected their SERP's so am assuming it is just one of those things..

Well, it's "normal", seeing that there are many reports of sites that have higher PR on inner pages (or un-updated PRs for homepages in their sites). Sounds like Google has done half of its job.

I have several PR4s in my pages (and a few PR5s), but PR0 for the main page.

Same here. A single blog post got some PR, while the blog home page, and the site itself that I have been promoting for months remain at PR0 or even N/A...

yes if you are getting good PR back links for your inner pages then it will get more pr then the home page(if home page is not having good PR backlinks)

my site has just been dropped to PR0 but the inner page is still PR1. I don't understand, I really don't.

By the way, can anyone tell me when Google updates PR? Is that this month of Jan (since my PR dropped yesterday)
