This is just an informative thread, on how I made some successful money from Error Pages Make money : Just add pop up or pop under ads in your error pages. This works really good, I just made more than $50 from my error pages in 2 months. Don't use adsense or any other ppc networks as visitors are not keen to to look at the message, as it's already an error page. Most advantage sites : The gallery sites will be more successful. As, per human behavior when we see a link, we try to get into the directory listing, or try for more picture serials than listed in the particular gallery. So, by adding in your respective error pages, you can make money I hope this information was useful
That shows that your site has a lot error pages? Generally you should get as little error as possible. But I think your error pages are huge and you earned 50$ from that??? Greaaaaaat!!!
Yeah this is big thing. I'm not saying you should intentionally do it, but there's always users snooping around trying to find the "secret" pages, so you might as well aggressively hit them with ads. I've also made pretend error pages that expose secret members only pages, but they all goto ads.
that's a good idea.. especially if you run a community. they could find links to pages that don't exist anymore.. disabled accounts.. etc.
hehe I don't have lots of error pages, since I have a html gallery users try to find loop holes and they end up in the error pages. I have made sure to put un-limited pop ups from clicksor to get me good revenue even from error pages too this will be pretty good for forums too as quoted by mr.stallion
