I know it doesn't get as many searches as the Overture tool but it still should give you an idea as to what the hot keywords and phrases are.

I know I have been having issues with overture, so a good alternative would be ideal. Will be posting a review on my search engine marketing blog if it delivers.

wordtracker free tool shown above doesn;t use the same database as the paid tool does and therefore not dependable. it doesn;t display asearch result for all the keywords either. overture keyword tool has been officially discontinued. DP keyword tool pulls results from wordtracker and overture therefore of no use. i'm affraid there is no goold keyword tool these days that is free.

The costs for any of the decent tools always puts me off, if the price i pay will eat too much into any potential profit gained then it seems a waste to me, it may help and i can then say i rank well but with no guarantee of it resulting in more money.

I dont think any of the tools can have up to date info can they? always working off old stats i think?

Could suggest that still helps but trends change quickly.

freekeywords are worth to use alternatively to overture because its somewhat shows some good results differ from the results that the overture shows...(LOL of course...)

Do you know there is a Windows software for finding the best keywords for your web site pages? It also includes a link popularity finder that finds the number of times the particular keyword was searched in a month. It is nothing but Good Keywords Site. Just try this and post the results. I am using it for the past one year for my dog site (edogadvice.com) and see the results here...

I don't get the purpose of that site. How is that an alternative to the Overture keyword tool?

Google suggest is worthless for SEO purposes. It simply suggests alternatives based on the number of available results.

Use the Adwords keyword tool for SEO keyword research. It suggests keywords based on relevancy and search frequency - which is exactly what you need for SEO.

I like the Google Adwords tool. Too bad they can't give you the exact amount of searches. But I think you can imagine how many searches there actually are in Google for those keywords.
