How would you get more submissions to a PR7 directory?

    Hey everyone!

So I happened to have a pr7 bidding directory and it brings a fair amount of $$, but the traffic is pretty low.
I know there are lots of people that would pay hundreds of bucks for a pr7 link, so I'm looking how to promote it (so far highest bid $500)

I'm ready to spend money on advertising to get more traffic and listings.

    What would you suggest?
Any good places to buy some paid ads, or listings.

I didn't say which directory it was and i don't need your opinion on it, read the first post again.
The question is how would you promote it..

I for one would be a bit nervous buying a link on such a high directory, knowing that in 3 months google could cut the pr in half or even more!
Anymore buying high pr links sorta has to be a hush hush deal for me and the links have to be 100% relevant to the site.

Posting all this stuff based on PR is practically begging someone who is jealous to report your site to gooogle and vaporize your PR.

I agree that banner advertising is a good way to get traffic.

this is the dumbest thing I've seen in this thread so far.
if you're really that petty you should at least be ashamed to post about it.

Are you going to try to harm everyone who is more successful more than you instead of actually trying to achieve something by yourself?

If you don't think it could happen then you are being naive.

I think you misunderstood my post, I never said I would do it, but from the petty arguements I have seen over the past few months I would not be surprised if more than one person did.

I don't think he was referring to himself reporting. He was probably trying to say that somebody else will get jealous and report.

i'll tell you how i promoted my bid directory...

    - i bought banners on webmaster sites
    - i bought sig links from reputable members like col/myra/sizzler etc. BUY MINE:D
    - i submitted to loads of paid directories
    - i got listed on directory lists
    - i released themes
    - i got ranked high on google

You need to start adding a lot of content to your inner pages Michael. Right now google sees them all as too similar so your inner pages are PR n/a. I noticed previously thry had PR, but google is cracking down. I know its boring, but make sure each link has a 100 word description so the directory is more unique.

Perhaps a custom design would help. Adding categories would also be an improvement. If looking for extra content I run a free article mod for phpLB v 1.2 like yours, check my recent blog link its the 2nd post down.

Yep as Mikey said, buy signature links.. also bid on other bidding directories for more exposure.
Buy banners rather than sitewide links if you need more traffic rather than SERPS..
