    Hey all,

If you are bored, feeling extra helpful, or just want to be a nice guy- can you please help me by looking at my new site. I was hoping an seo pro would give it a look and tell me if it seems OK, or not. I know that everyone is busy, but it would be great if you have time.

This is the site I have been dreaming of making for a very long time. I am not good at this, but I'm learning. I have applied all of the seo tips I have learned from you all.

    The site is: http://www.cajuncrawfishpie.com

    Thanks guys and gals!

I would highly suggest a CMS like joomla or mambo.

You don't have any keywords, your h1 tag is google adsense ... this doesn't look too good

Thanks guys. I missed that. Screwed up and it picked up adsense in H1. See, that's why I asked for help. ;)

If you see anything else, I seriously appreciate the help. Fixing H1 tags and meta description on index page now.

    Thank you!!

I would add Cajun in front of all the keywords in your header put "|" bar in between the keywords. Such as Cajun Food | Cajun History | Cajun Culture | Cajun Music | Cajun Clothing | Cajun Jokes | Cajun Crawfish.............. and so on. Just fill your website with a bunch of related keywords and content and I'm sure Google will put you in the top ten for some random phrases. But then again, I'm just a newbie so my advice doesn't equal squat.

Put us together and we may know something huh? lol

Man, I wanted to do that so bad. Others have told me that this is keyword stuffing. They advised me to limit the keyword to 2-3 times in the meta description and meta keywords. It sucks cause I sure want to do it like you stated.

    :O)

See anything else guys? I am still fixing all the <h1> tags. Thanks again!!

*** I just realized that you were talking about in the header area. Doh!! ***

You have to watch out because a lot of people are going to give you information that they believe to be true but really isn't true. If you're like me you'll just go with the wind and hope for result. Make sure you join Google Analytics at www.Google.com/analytics in case you already haven't. You'll need to add their tracking code at the bottom of each page you want to track. This way if you generate some traffic you'll know where they're coming from.

I am not familiar with google analytics. thanks for that link!

Yes, I am aware that there is a lot of misinformation. It's kind of hard when the coach (google) won't let us peek at the play book. I do know a handful of guys on here that I would bank 100% on whatever they said in seo. Sweetfunny comes to mind. I also know that I know diddly. I am really trying very hard though.

This goofy site of mine has been a dream for years. I have worked my butt off on it. I am just praying that I have done it justice and that a few folks get to see it. Wish me luck!

    ;)

Obviously you have no PR whatsoever so you might want to work on your backlinks. Submit your website to directories and write articles. I hired somebody to submit my site to directories because the process is too time-consuming. www.Seoster.com will do it for you for $50. It takes them about 4 days but they get the job done. I'm hoping that I will have a higher PR on the next PR update.

Yep, now comes the backlink garbage. Hate that part. Hope it's easier this time.

Know what's funny? On last PR update a site of mine had a page that went from PR n/a to PR 3. It had 1 backlink from a PR 0. On that same site, pages with hundreds of backlinks went to a PR 1, or 0. Explain that one to me? lol

I'm not so sure but I think PR really depends on what keywords you're going for. If you're going for keywords that nobody is competing for it's probably easier to build up your PR. Was the backlink from a high PR site?

I had ZERO clue of what I was doing when building that page. The meta description has NOTHING to do with the page content. The ONE backlink is from a PR 0 site. The competition for the keyword is low/ medium. I don't think that matters though for PR, does it?

I think your site will do well in time. Make little "tweeks" and wait awhile before doing it again. However, keep adding content to the site as often as you can. I think this site will do well in this particular "niche", especially "crawfish". I wouldn't be suprised at all to see a page 1 or 2 in six to twelve months. Add a sitemap (SE) and a robots text when time permits.

The site looks like its from 1978. But the onsite seo is decent. You need to blend your ads in better too.
