    Hey guys,
I am planning to start a sci-fi blog on my own domain and host so do you think this topic could be interesting to people. There are some other sci-fi blogs but no one will be like mine.I mean the way i plan to do it will be original.I am thinking of writing about the clone system that will develop in the future ,future cars and processes that will happen with the Earth.Do you think that could be successful .I hope i am not the only one interested in these topics.

I think with a "kick a**" template, or design, and some great content, and killer photos it could be very popular.

Yes it will, you tried to catch the mob by your unique way of presenting the same contents.LIke for example no matter you copy some data from any site but when you going to post it add some videosome images, even you can design custom design dedicated to each post, cartoons (you may draw on paper and scan it for posting.
This unique style gave to high SEO response moreover their are several other methods used to get high rank of unique visitors.

Nothing, unless you write a crossover fanfic ;)

To the OP- you need to work on your spellings and grammar. It is biography, and not biogrophy.

Harry Potter is Fantasy, there is only a tad bit of Sci-Fi in it with the Sorcerer's Stone.

You might want to spend a little time in sf fandom to learn the culture.

    1) To succeed at something like this, you don't just need to have proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, but you need to be funny, snarky, and generally make "beautiful" use of the language. Fans will notice if you don't, and there's tons of people who are very good writers they can go read instead. They will have little tolerance for bad English.

    2) It's "SF" not "Sci-fi" -- see above about learning the culture. Use the word "sci-fi" and you're likely to be mocked a bit. It's about like saying "groovy" or "radical" ... old, outdated slang.

If you can find a way to integrate what you do with fans of 'Coast to Coast AM' would enjoy, you could definitely succeed by posting alot on their forums and other similar forums.

I also agree that 'sci fi' probably isn't the keyword you need to target. It sounds like you want to talk speculatively about future techonlogy. If so, then 'future', 'futurist', 'futuristic', technology, etc are more the sorts of keywords you are going to try and target

It depends on how interesting is your content and how can it be visible to people who is interested in this topic.

SF does NOT equal sci-fi, not in a word-usage sense. It's outdated slang. If the market demographic you're targeting is fans of speculative fiction... don't call it sci-fi. You'll instantly brand yourself a noob.

(I have been involved in fandom for twenty years. Also, clicky the linky in my sig line if you're thinking I don't know anything about the subject.)

So as you are such familiar with this, what is sci-fi about ???Type SF in google-you will find almost nothing .Type Sci-fi.Have a look of a random website name found :
Science Fiction TV Series, SCI FI Genre Movies, Fantasy News and....Science fiction tv series, shows, news and more on SCI FI UK. Find science fiction genre articles, fantasy stories and television network information on ...You also find some images of star wars&star trek ,even HP.

Go to IMDB.com /if u are so familiar i you may know what is this site about/ Have a look of the genre of lets say Star Wars
http://imdb.com/title/tt0121766/ It is Sci-fi ,not SF.And to prove you that your opinion is a load of rubbish have a look of sf.net .Do you think this has sth to do with science-fiction?

I've only been active in SF fandom for about twenty years, and run a large, successful web site covering genre entertainment. But if you don't want to learn the culture, I wish you well with your project. You may find it difficult going, however, if you don't "speak the lingo" that the fans do.
