Yep, it's just the index... it's a local nightclub related site and... well, give it a go. Ribatejo Bynight 0 to 10: usuability structure load time design css u know...! thanks Scuba
usability: 8/10 structure: 6/10 load time: 5/10 design: 7/10 css: 7/10 I'd just like to point out that people with wide screen monitors, like my self, see a big empty space at the right side of the site. I'd recommend centering the whole thing .
thanks, Silvaz, how do i center the page knowing that is full of layers, not divs? see it live see the css I applyed the * { margin:0; padding:0; } before the body, but... what am i missing here? and yep, the big load time is due of a huge flash on top, with large pic etc
This is the correct section to submit your topic: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=91
You need to set the overall container (wrapper etc) to #wrapper{ margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; } Do you get it?
I do... but did u saw the css? I guess not. This page doesn't have Divs - just layers... So my question is: how can i place all those layers into the master Div? Is it possible? BTW, thanks all for your comments and reviews and don't let this css remark change the purpose of this post: Review It! here's the link the css Thanks again guys, Scuba
structure: 8/10 load time: 2/10 design: 5/10 css: 7/10 The design can easily be tweaked those buttons are really bad. They are so 90's. Please don't take that to hard I just voicing my opinion. The overall structure looks good. Nice layout and original design. The server loadtime was awful. Tried from 4 locations and the best I was getting was 3-4 second load time. Maybe server is uner heavy load at the moment. I would suggst a dedicated box vs. shared host. CSS NO complaints here nice work although I do see the over use of divs. Design seems same old same old just another social website nothing really jumping out at me that would make me click further. Hope my opinions help. PS I think this post belongs in the review section
I'd get rid of the bold in the upper right Discotecas & Bares section, still arial but not bold I don't like the logo area a lot and I think you should change the main image to something more clear, you definitely need to put a better image there rating usuability, structure and load time on a static html template is pretty pointless
thanks guys, keep these reviews cumming this way Guess the server time load is a "outside portugal" problem?!?!? in here, no problem. The buttons (?? links??) we're made on purpose that way... retro baby... and a twist of old link stuff. No more buttons web 2.0... Top image: Guess i have to put a new banner in there with some girls/hand in the air/dance floor.... mixed with new logo. what more? review it and thanks again in advance. scuba
Me again. Layers are just divs with this added {... position:absolute; ...} layers don't really exist outside of DW, they're not CSS entities. Just find the outermost div/layer and remove position:absolute and set it to position:relative, and do the thing I posted above. That should def work.
Hey, tried what you've said and all the stuff i remember and ... nothing. As this one will be online just a few weeks, so, guess i'll leave it just like that But thanks for the heads up, right now i'm coding a test template and everything is inside a #container. Thanks, valve Anymore reviews on this one?
