Looks like the anti-war cook fringe left has once again been caught with their hand in the cookie jar...

Well there is a large difference between 650 000 and 150 000 but still that doesn't seemed comforting. Even if we take the figure of 150 000 dead it is far far far too many. I doubt Saddam regime killed one tenth that number. 150 000 dead is still a very strong case for Anti Iraq war.

Big deal. The Oil for Food sanctions killed a million, half of which were children.

And people wonder why there are fanatics who want to come here and commit suicide terrorism.

This source says Saddam's kill count is close to 2 million....furthermore, the majority of the deaths in this war are caused by the extreme Islamic followers, and not by US troops.

Wisdom, they are just numbers to him. Instead of talking about how our administration lied to us about wmd's and al qiada this guy is going out and finding articles like this. Maybe its time these jokes go out and sign up for the military and show us their loyality instead of posting from their pc's for who knows what their agenda is.

Hmmmm, and who supplied Saddam with weapons, and the Iranians with weapons, and was Saddam's ally during that war?

And we wonder why some fanatics would come here and commit suicide terrorism.

oh, so they are just numbers? So I guess then you would rather have Saddam back in power, which means our troops would have never gone there? Are you in support of that?

Well, that was the US foreign policy during the 70s and 80s, so yes I want that, because GTech told me to stop blaming America.

Did you not get that message? Bin Laden and Saddam are your allies. Don't criticize Reagan.

The fact is saddam was gassing kurds and your buddy rumsfield was shaking saddams hand and im more than sure that if this was 15 to 20 years ago and saddam was an asset to our administration u would be backing the administration's decision to keep funding him. Thank god there are people in our great country that are waking up to this bs and seeing posts like this for what they really are.

The true patriot who cares for our soldiers thinks of them as more then numbers and would never ever support sending them out to a lie of a war.
Please spare us the mockery that we were out to save the iraqi people as any sane person knows that its a load of bologni.
The real joke is our soldiers are still dying and the same posters are still supporting the lie lololol.

They are your allies until the thought of power overtakes them and they stab you in the back....which is what they did.

No, Saddam ran his rape rooms, and gassed people, and committed atrocities with our blessing. Aren't you proud of that? Why do you hate America so much?

I beg to differ on this, Saddam's no saint, but the 500 000 at least should not be attributed to him. And as guerilla points out rightly, the very weapons used to kill are provided by USA and the sanctions that killed those 500 000 kids and women are also introduced by USA and passed by the United Nations.

For Iran and Iraq war, China merrily supplied weapons to Iran, where USA happily does that for Iraq and Israel profited from both countries. All their hands aren't clean either.

Well, don't forget about Iran-Contra. We also did that. More great stuff for us to be proud of.

Is there something wrong with you? Look at iraq now and look at iraq during saddam reign. Yes he was a dictator, yes he was ruthless, but at least there was order in iraq . Is there order now, and pleaseeeeeeeee dont tell me that this order is because of the surge. Anyone who knows anything about this war knows that the amount of soldier deaths that are lower are lower because of our deal with iran, which off course is happening during an election year.

Do you know anything about the history of iraq and our meddling(most of the times against democracy ) in their country? No you dont, your just here counting numbers. Who are we to play god by funding a dictator like saddam or musheraf and then pulling the plug on them and sending the whole country in total ruins and chaos whenever we want to.
Last time i checked our government isnt jesus christ is it?

maybe you should take a trip and live there for a year and see the results of our meddling. When we had our own civil war in the 1800's remember when france tried to aid the south? Do you remember what the north said to france? All of these dictators being propped up in these countries are staying in power because of either our funding or funding from anotehr lesser power.

Do you support the destruction of democracy in iran, because they wanted a 50-50 split on oil revenues??????????? Huh
Of course dman you wont answer these questions because your not interested in the pursuit of the truth.

Guerilla, iran-contra was another whole complete can of worms. Ollie north (who was only the fall guy) becaomes famous and is invited on tv shows and for what?????

Phil collins song: land of confusion spoke volumes and i give kudos for Phil to have the guts to release it during the time he did release it. We do need a superman, fortunately we have the next best thing in ron paul. Im with him all the way and the more these hidden-intention posters write against him, the more i will support him.

Wisdom great post also, the iran-iraq war cost the lives of over a million people and we have those 3 countries making a killing (profit wise) on each side.
When you lose the capacity for truth and justice, you are capable of anything.

There is an irony that Sean Hannity is an Ollie North booster, and North is an analyst for FOX News.

The guy is a criminal. He's got the blood of thousands on his hands.

I remembered the Oliver North incident. Iran benefited from USA and leaked out all those crap that was done. The Mullahs won it both ways. Else Reagan had quite a successful presidency. He was one of the most popular and I kinda like his hair style. That incident left a black mark on his otherwise great rule.

I am not sure why, but politicians do they grow without a heart? 150 000 people, how many widows, widowers, orphans, grieving old parents. These are not numbers each and everyone is flesh and blood with hope and feelings , having ambitions having dreams like us and their lives taken away from them......

The oil for food program would have been less lethal (rather successful) if Saddam and his minions weren't smuggling out the oil to the countries such as India.
