Earn Cash Tonight! $15 Header Contest - Fast Feedback After Entry

Hey guys!

I've had great success in the past with design contests here, and once again, I need a header for a new blog. I find it's easier to hold a simple contest rather than a specific designer, as I like the option of multiple concepts instead of going back and forth with one person.

Name of the new blog: SEO Noobs (seonoobs.com)

What I'm looking for: No idea! Seriously though, I want something big, and that stands out. Almost "noobish" in a way, but not really. Make sense? We'll see...

As far as size, take a look at this site's header (it uses the same theme that I have, and it looks great) It says he used a main graphic, and then a repeater - so I would like to have the same setup, as it has instructions on how to implement it...and since I'm coding stupid, I would like to be able to make it live without any problems.

For sure, that is how I like it, something big and that grabs your attention. (Oh, and it should look pretty badass too =D )

Anyway, let me know if you're going to enter, I would like to get something going by tonight if at all possible. I wish I could offer more than $15...I could probably throw in an extra $5 for a fast winner, but not necessary

@mathias - Hey thanks! I like the concept, but just to clarify (and I apologize that I didn't before), I'm not necessarily looking for a tree type of thing. It's cool, but by comparing that other site, I simply mean that I want something big and standoutish. Yours is pretty cool though, and the text is hilariously cool, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with all of that in there, it may be a bit much. I want SEO Noobs text to be a lot larger (not massive, but big).

Feel free to resubmit if you feel like it. Substitute the tree with something else - I'm leaving the main graphic in the designers hands...I'm ready to see something cool =D

Would the background repeat across the page? (I'm sure the answer is yes as you would probably provide the graphic). Also, just out of curiosity, could you go a size or two bigger on the text?

If you tell me the exact size, the background color will repeat itself across the page I think. Anyways, I just made the text slightly bigger.

 

Okay cool, sounds good. I'm sure we can work out any tweaks later on. Also, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, I like the new text size, but the background isn't as dark at the top as the first one. I like the first background the best.

To all - this is only entry #2, but I really like it. I will now set a time limit of 2 more hours if anyone thinks they can top it. Contest ends 2 hours from this post.

Lol, don't worry. The background colors are the exact same. I didn't touch it, staring at it can cause you to see a lot of things! Hehe.

I like the above color, but nothing is set in stone...

My site is still in development, so those are not the final colors. I will base the final color scheme around the header, so be creative, it's up to you!

Overall, it's really not that bad...however, if being honest, it's *probably* something I could come up with on my own. The text and color combo just looks a little too simple. The background is nice...but everything else needs to be bumped up a few notches quality wise.

willhaynes - uh oh, another contender in the house! Although it's completely different from the other entry I like, it's kind of growing on me. I like how it's very "in your face". Plus, the taglines are hilarious!

It seems as though it needs something changed...I know this seems silly, but the "o" instantly reminds me of a basketball at a glance...and I certainly don't want to give off the wrong impression. Maybe do something different with that?
