I have a hostgator reseller plan but they only allow 200 emails / hour. Any recommendations for a better host?

How many emails do you need to send out per hour? What other requirements do you have?

Go dedicated and be done with it.

    Leave everything in your control.

You can get packages extremely cheap.

http://crunchyhost.com - They offer flexihosting, just email them with how much space and bandwidth you want, and they will quote you. They are very affordable.

You're going to find most shared hosting providers have limits in the 200-2000 range per hour. If you're looking to send more than that then you're looking at a VPS or dedicated solution. Another option is to send the mail over time for the course of the day so you could very well send out 24,000 emails a day if your system can handle a queue system.

Yeah, I need around 30k an hour. But not every hour. Just once a week.

Forum newsletters are heavy weights. :(

Why not use a newletter system that has an option for a queue? Sending that many all at once is going to put a huge strain on a server. Even if you have a VPS or something it would really bog down the server for how many hours it takes to send that many.

I second that. They may be a bit more expensive that some other places, but they have awesome service!

I would find a separate emailing solution from your host to handle your mass emailing. If your host can handle ever other aspect of your site's needs it would make sense. 30K an hour is a really large amount but with the right configuration between your site and a separate email provider it could work out well.

most hosts will limit this severely when on shared servers. If you went with a VPS or Dedicated server then there would be more flexability there.

let me know if I can help you any further with finding a solution as I have a few in mind.

    Thanks,
