I have a site like that.

It had 400 pages indexed 5 months ago. then it went down to 200, then 100, then 90, 75, 65..... now it is at 44

and I have added new content every day, but it is not getting indexed

I did nothing wrong, I don't know why google is being so cruel.

it is not duplicate content either, the only thing I can think of that is causing it is that some spammers have been spamming with my url link in their spams

that makes me think that it is possible for people to blackhat their competitors, but I might be wrong, the idea needs to be tested

Don't worry, you will get back in the index after some time.
Try to get authority backlinks, that will speed up the process.

Yes Google is cracking down on useless sites. Although the sites in sig may not seem useless I think they bring little value to the net (people)

    They won't like that either.

I also see a pattern from site to site in your sig. Patterns...no good.

No offence intended, but you need to bring more to the table the a contact form, under construction and 3% content. IMO that's why your are de-indexed.

As the web grows Google has no choice but to raise the bar, especially when the quality of sites are getting better (2.0, 3.0, etc). The laws of mother nature apply, the strong survive, the weak die.

Sorry, if you were looking for sympathy. The truth will serve you better in the long run.

Do you sell links on your website ?

If so you should add the rel="nofollow" attribute. That's one of the reasons many websites get deindexed.

I've heard of people losing PR for selling links, but getting deindexed? Prove it. If that were the case, think about how many sites would NOT show up in the index . . . I call BS, and I'll apologize and take these remarks back if shown some proof instead of just claims with no evidence.

remember to check if googlebot is able to spider your site with awstats or webaliser , as i have had in the past a situation where the shared server was penalised and all accounts simply stop receiving visits from the bot. In these cases doesn't matter to publish new posts as they aren't indexed, i also watched a way down in rankings and deindexed pages.

    What website was this for?

Do you think you may have had something to do with the de-index ?

Nothing to do with de-index. Before de-index suspections it´s better to check if the server keeps being visited by googlebot to know if you need to report this to your server owner. This may happen because the server hosted sites that may get them in some type of penalty. In my case after some sites left the server everything went back to normal.

Mate, its true, sites selling links have been de-indexed. Worse still sites buying links have been delisted. If you check back in Forum in early December so many premium sites were removed.

A day or so later or after a re inclusion request you site is back in there but typically hit with a -50 penalty.

I know 1 guy that had this happen when ranked number 1 in G for 8 years then gone. 1 guy in the UK that was top 5 for term credit cards in G - gone. I had a leading site in Australia, top rankings in G - gone.

I am so scared now, I don't want to buy links and I never sell them. I guess thats the whole point form G - to scare us...
