Are you? I'm not. Around October 2007, about 300 clicks a day would raise $50 on my proxies. Even though now the traffic has doubled, my earnings are around $10 a day?!?!?! Furthermore, their distinct and small font does not attract much clicks. Right?
I don't like AdSense because they won't allow my poker site. I don't think poker is gambling - it's a game of skill, but that is another topic altogether. Have you looked into PPP (Pay Per Play) as an alternative advertising system? They are currently estimating about $0.02 per unique ad played, so depending on your traffic, you could make a good deal of money. I partially satisfied with Adsense although I do with some of my clicks were worth more than a measly 1-3 cents. I agree with that but judging by all the bad players (donkeys ftw) out there you could consider it gambling, if you get what I mean. lol
Its straight Rule bro ... More competition less profits I would suggest you to go for HIGH Paying niche which can pay you as much as $50 per day with one website. I am in this Business since past 5 years now and have 6 websites with me which is paying me around $120 per day and i am very much happy with it. These days i have stopped building websites and working only 4 hours per day as adsense consultant
I kinda have the same problem. In October 120 clicks gave me ~$12. Now, the traffic raised by 30%, I have the same number of clicks (?!) but the earnings are around $3.
When I analyse my Adsense stats over the last three years, I see the pay/click goes up and down and up and down. It's kind of cyclic(k) and there must be reasons behind that that even Adsense doesn't master. Economics and so...
It is a wonder that AdSense is so popular. Obvisouly people are ready for a better alternative. Something that I can get paid for every visitor... and they don't have to click on a link that takes them away from my site... Hmmm...
Adsense fell far behind. I would have guessed that in this day in age, it would be somewhat more customizable/flexible/updated..but it doesnt appear to be evolving at all.
