how many key words in the tags???

 

google doesn;t really read the keyword tag and most of the major search engines don;t read them either. however, i always use that tag and keep it within 6 keywords. you can put your primary, secondary and few other related keywords there. do not stuff this tag with keywords or SE will find it as spam. thats the main reason SEs stopped reading them in the first place, its so easy to manipulate

 

Keep it small. Around 50-70 characters. Google feels bad if it detects long long keyword stuffing within keywords tag.

Moreover make sure not to repeat any keyword more than once in keyword tag

 

My idea is of two keywords, it helps to concentrate for few and then once you are good with those go for the kill

Too much key word is not good. I generally use 4 to 8 key word in tags.

 

The Meta Description is very important for your SEO, but not the keyword tags.

The keyword tags are typically ignored by Google and can sometimes negatively affect your SEO.

so when ever i write a stories as i have a website www.article-stories.com on which i write stories like inspirational stories,motivational stories and etc so i use around 1 main keyoword in tags and 3 other related keywords in tags like i m writing a inspirational story then i add tags as inspirational story,short inspirational story,motivational story,short stories

what u think i m doing good or bad? i have to include KEYWORDS IN TAGS OR I HAVE TO INCLUDE KEYWORDS IN CONTENT ONLY

 

I think around 250 chr. 6 to 8 keywords

 

Keep it small, most search engines don't like keyword stuffing, and Google does not use it at all. Do not use more than 6 or so. Instead, make sure that you use the keywords in the title, in headers and throughout the text, obviously not overdoing it.

Missed that one... but the principle remains. Do not overdo the tags, and I certainly would not reuse the main keyword over and over. Your example "inspirational story,short inspirational story,motivational story,short stories" is a clear overkill. I would limit it to "Short inspirational story, motivational stories". With the "short inspirational story" you would then target at the same time "short story", "inspirational story" and "short inspirational story", but would not repeat it. Too much repetition risks being considered keyword stuffing.

In my own posts I usually use 4-5 different tags, but I really try NOT to repeat the main keyword - rather use related keywords, so as to reinforce the message and score for more keywords.

 

keywords should not be more then 6% and not less then 4% of the total content. In case of tage just use 3 to 4

 

now meta keyword are not much in use for SEO. so that it can be ignored. meta title and description should be relative, highly descriptive, and easy to read for user..If you use repeative keyword in meta tags so it would not help you for getting high serp. and google will consider this spam

 

three - four keyword will be ideal.
