Guys, face it, this dude...I mean guy is just too professional for us. Mr. HYIP is right, I'm going to resign by the end of the day. It's been fun......
Giuliani decides not to campaign in Michigan giving a boost to McCain in Tuesday's Michigan Republican presidential primary. It seems that Giuliani is running out of money and it saving it for Florida primary on Jan 29. http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20080112/cm_thenation/45269655
A great read in the current New Yorker on Giuliani. I think it's wearing thin, personally, more than ever, and the final cut is near.
HAHAHAH! Really sorry to include this, but it's been pointed out to me that our favorite perenially diurnal nightshade (here and gone within a day), A.C., is really reaming the forum a new one. http://www.forumpostersunion.com/showpost.php?p=20223&postcount=32. I'm really LMAO to find I'm a nixon-lovin' right wing &^%$#@$^&*(could go on to infinity) ^&%%$$^*(& gang member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. And !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for emphasis, in case it wasn't clear. Just a snippet: Hahaha...just the image of a guy who spends his entire day screaming at the top of his lungs in a small room by himself, clicking away....guess I just find that funny as hell. I note the forum's got - hold your hats - 109 members, is that right? Well, somethin's gotta be working, no doubt! Thanks (conspiratorial anonymous member who pointed this out in secretive fashion via P.M.) - a great lift!
I know, and my better self says so, too, because in all sincerity, it is sad. Guess I just needed the lift. Nope, I'm just a prick. am I a bad person? am I a bad person? am I a bad person?
I think he is just being a bit conservative.. He's still got around 7 million bucks. Actually I think they volunteered to do this. Ah, sure.. ok..
For the article it said that Guliani "is now telling his staff that they must go without pay so that the campaign will have enough money to compete in what is now his make-or-break race: Florida' January 29 primary contest" Guliani is probany trying to save the last 7 million for Florida. It looks like McCain will take Michigan.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH....! That's good, debunked. Sorry for the additional off topic (last one, promise) - but Nintendo seems to hop on from time to time just to drive AC nuts. AC repeatedly threatens an eternal banishment, whatever, then, nothing happens. Does Nintendo have some kind of code thing over the site, something like that, that renders AC powerless? OK, back to McCain, etc. When I was saying Giuliani is wearing "thin," I just think many of the inconsistencies within his one clarion call - 9/11 - are starting to really hurt him in a way they haven't before. The firefighters' movement, for instance, bad press such as I recently read in New Yorker, etc. He survived this in NY, but the national stage is a different beast. Should for some reason he gain the nomination, I honestly believe the G.O.P. is smoked, almost effortlessly. (I believe the G.O.P. is smoked regardless, by the way, and the nominee to be is probably, in his heart of hearts, only laying track down for a run again after an intervening term of Democratic administration).
What really hurt Rudy IMHO among conservative is his real weak stance on the 2nd amendment. That alone lost him a good chunk of die hard republicans. There are MANY, especially where I live who consider themselves republicans simply because of the 2nd amendment issue, no other true reason as they do not follow politics....
Have you happened to read the latest New Yorker article on him? I hate gushing so effusively, because this stuff may be known to most folks - but it was very insightful, to me. New Yorker, Jan. 7, 2008, The Political Scene: "Old Habits, and the New Rudy Giuliani."
